Mario Strikers Charged is a sequel to the popular Super Mario Strikers for the Gamecube and is set to be realeased for the Wii. It is rumored to be a launch title.

All of the above can be identified on the Captain Select screen if you look closely. However, there is one square left at the bottom-right. This might belong to a new character - at the start of the Leipzig Games Convention demo, the bottom half of a character, half obscured by a soccer ball can be seen before the game goes over to the menu. The character does not seem to look anything like an existing Mario character, or the Super Team from Super Mario Strikers, for that matter. It could be that this character is a possible new villain in the game (Seeing as Bowser is now a normal Captain).
