Edits

Hello, please recall what I said here regarding italics for titles. This applies to games, shows, even books like Super Mario-kun etc. (see MarioWiki:Manual of Style#Italicizing titles).

Also, make sure to make use of punctuation to separate parts of sentences, specifically when using "however" (e.g. "They can also cameo in Absent Minded as one of the characters that can be chosen however they only appear if someone isn’t playing as Monty Mole."). "However" should be preceded with a semicolon and followed by a comma, or at least starting a new sentence: "They can also cameo in Absent Minded as one of the characters that can be chosen. However, they only appear if someone isn’t playing as Monty Mole." Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:29, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Thanks for the advice I also wanted to know if the Small Monty Mole and the Monty Mole and Mega Mole wearing Tuxedos from Super Mario Adventures should have their own pages as characters or variants of Monty Moles
The preceding unsigned comment was added by MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk).

If they were given names, maybe, otherwise they should stay on the general enemy page.
Also, you acknowledged my message but your last edit on Monty Mole completely went against what I said. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:55, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Oh sorry I forgot I’ll probably get used to doing it more
The preceding unsigned comment was added by MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk).

Also the Super Mario Adventures Moles I mentioned never were named, Also I was wondering how I can upload images (especially for when I add manga info later on)
The preceding unsigned comment was added by MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk).

Special:Upload. The summary and license should be filled in, and "uncategorized" should be replaced with a category link (so for SMK images, you'd replace it with ).
Also, remember to end sentences with periods, since a few of your edits were missing them. You also need to sign your talk page comments by typing four tildes at the end: ~~~~ Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:23, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Citations

MarioWiki:Citations explains how to properly cite sources. You can see how I did it here. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:30, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

I was wondering do I keep the number stuff when uploading files or no? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 01:36, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

If you're referring to the "aboutfile" template in the summary, if you're using one of the numbers, replace the part after the equal sign with the appropriate info (e.g. replace "Where you found the image" with the source). If you're not using a number, you can just remove the entire line. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:45, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Also anyway to get my manga scans translated for more accurate info? (Is it also recommended to do only a couple pages from a volume at a time?) MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 01:51, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

I'm not sure what you're asking with the first question, but there's no limit to how much you can upload.
Please remember to categorise your uploads as I mentioned above. uncategorized needs to be replaced with a category link, like this. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 02:13, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

The category link is formatted like this: (square brackets, "Category:" at the start and "images" at the end). Also, any game, book etc. titles mentioned in image captions need to be italicised as well. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 03:10, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Is there a way to upload multiple images at once so I don’t have to do it all one at a time? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 20:37, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Images can only be uploaded one at a time. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 21:14, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Have I gotten better at editing? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 22:06, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

I’m good with Monty Mole lore but I do need practice on grammar and editing but I have gotten better overtime MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 22:14, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

You still forget to italicise some game titles. If you need to do it for a link, you add the apostrophes around the square brackets (Mario Party: The Top 100). You should also make more use of commas (see here), and avoid using informal words like "gonna" and "thing". Other than that, the writing is good. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:22, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

I want to work on the Super Mario-kun section soon and I was wondering how I can show that the page is work in progress? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 22:40, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Tag the section with construction by typing . Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 22:53, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Also which would be better to do first Super Mario-kun or KC Mario? (KC Mario came first by the way if your wondering) MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 22:57, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

That's up to you. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:11, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

I know but which would you suggest first? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 23:23, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

I've read neither so I can't suggest one. It doesn't matter which one you do first. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:31, September 28, 2021 (EDT)

Is there also anyway to ask for a section to have translations (if it’s in another language like Japanese) for better names and info? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 00:23, September 29, 2021 (EDT)

How can I make a proposal? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 00:33, September 30, 2021 (EDT)

MarioWiki:Proposals covers the rules and layout. If your proposal concerns one or a specific set of pages, it should go on the relevant talk page. Otherwise if it deals with articles on a large scale, add your proposal to this page. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:51, September 30, 2021 (EDT)

Reminder

Please stop forgetting to italicise titles on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

I've reminded you twice already. Even if you're linking to titles with brackets, you still need the apostrophes around them. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:41, October 1, 2021 (EDT)

How do I suggest something from a section? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 09:42, October 2, 2021 (EDT)

Image categories

Image category links should be square brackets, not curly, as I mentioned above: , not Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:27, October 2, 2021 (EDT)

I was wondering if there is anyway to upload files I have since I have nearly every Mario Manga scan with Monty Mole species in my folders and I want to upload them? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 15:27, October 3, 2021 (EDT)

Warioware Twisted being removed from the Rocky Wrench page

The reason why I removed WarioWare: Twisted from the Rocky Wrench page, look at this [1] TheRaoul1992 (talk) 16:30, October 3, 2021 (EDT)

Oh so the sprite sheet didn’t have Rocky Wrench? Well sometimes sprite sheets miss sprites (For example I saw a Yoshi Touch & Go spritehseet that didn’t have Monty Mole or the Metal Mawful Mole sprite sheet missing their standing sprites) so they could have forgotten but it’s possible that Rocky Wrench was only in the Warioware Gold version as a addition. MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 16:36, October 3, 2021 (EDT)

After looking at some videos it seems that the Warioware Twisted version only had the Fire Piranha Plants and Bullet Bills and the Warioware Gold version added the airship part which featured Rocky Wrenches. So it seems that your right they only appear in the Warioware Gold version. Thanks for letting me know and fixing this error. MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 16:42, October 3, 2021 (EDT)

So uh is there anyway to upload a folder I have here? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 21:43, October 3, 2021 (EDT)

Yes. TheRaoul1992 (talk) 06:34, October 24, 2021 (EDT)

Section levels

History
Mario Golf series
Mario Golf: Super Rush
These are wrong section levels. Sections with more equal signs are sub-sections of those with fewer above them. Since Super Rush is part of the Mario Golf series, which goes under History, it should be:

History
Mario Golf series
Mario Golf: Super Rush
I was wondering if volumes of Mario Manga (Like Super Mario-kun) would be like sections (like with the games) or it would be one section? Also is there a way to label a page for translation? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 21:47, October 5, 2021 (EDT)

Linking

You don't need to link like this Mario unless the display text is different from the article title (e.g. Luigi's brother --> Luigi's brother). Just link like this Mario. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:10, October 7, 2021 (EDT)

Well where is a good place to put link to the manga scans of Monty Mole so people know it’s official? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 00:25, October 7, 2021 (EDT)

We already know the manga is official because we're covering it. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:31, October 7, 2021 (EDT)

So should I not leave red links for future pages? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 23:43, October 7, 2021 (EDT)

Ghost Monty Mole

The page(s) you recently created (Ghost Monty Mole) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.
  1. Make sure there is no other article about the same subject with a different title, especially for conjectural articles.
  2. Make sure the article has enough information to make it a worthwhile read (i.e. it does more than state the obvious, such as "Luigi's Mansion is a mansion that is owned by Luigi"). Overly short articles are known as stubs and their creation is strongly discouraged; it is better to amass enough information to make a solid article right off the bat instead.
  3. Make sure the article is significant enough in the Super Mario franchise to have its own article.

If the article has only been tagged to be deleted you can still fix or expand it, but an administrator may delete it at any time, so please act quickly. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing!

Read MarioWiki:Conjectural names and MarioWiki:Minor NPCs - An article should be created if it's significant enough, like Monty Mole Swooper, so just a shot of one (with no role or effect on the story) isn't sufficient. You should make this judgement first before adding links.

A few other things to pay attention to:

  • Don't begin a new sentence with "but". Conjunctions aren't used at the start of sentences, so it should be preceded with a comma.
  • Phrases in parentheses mid-sentence (like this) should have the first letter in lowercase as I just did (And not like this).
  • Use "an" before a word beginning with a vowel, not "a" (e.g. "an undead variant", not "a undead variant").

Finally, please proofread your edits because you're still occasionally missing periods at the end of sentences (your Ghost Monty Mole and Rocky Wrench edits), which should be easily noticeable. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 06:25, October 8, 2021 (EDT)

Thanks for the info but I was wondering if the Monty Mole Stone Spirits can get their own article (They actually do something unlike the ghost Monty Mole). MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 18:26, October 8, 2021 (EDT)

I've never read the manga, so use your use your best judgement or ask someone else who has read it if you're not sure. You're also still not using "an" before vowels. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:48, October 9, 2021 (EDT)

Another thing, avoid confusing "its" with "it's" and "their" with "they're". "It's" and "they're" are short for "it is" and "they are", while "its" and "their" are the possessive pronouns (e.g. "uses its kart", not "uses it's kart", and "when they're shrunk", not "when their shrunk"). Contractions should be avoided anyway, so it should be "when they are shrunk". Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:25, October 9, 2021 (EDT)

Talk page sections

When you start a new topic in a talk page, make sure you always start a new section rather than just putting your comment straight into the previous one, especially if that section is completely unrelated to what you want to say. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 19:56, October 10, 2021 (EDT)

Reminder

Please stop forgetting to use "an" before vowels on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

This had to be corrected multiple times, please pay more attention to this.

Also, conjecture is not used for mentions of unofficial names in a section of an article. It's used for the whole article when the article's title itself is conjectural.

I'm not sure what the point of these edits adding/removing the period was as well, but please don't do that as it floods the history page with unnecessary edits. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 05:06, October 13, 2021 (EDT)

RE: Manga Translations

That link doesn't work.

No, there was no king mentioned from what I read, just one of Bowser's minions addressing him as "King". Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:37, October 13, 2021 (EDT)

I have another link here: https://www.marioboards.com/threads/44397/#post-2301092. Its a thread I posted which has the volume 23 scans. Also I will upload some of my physical scans here just for translation purposes. So if you need to translate the name just tell me the translated name from here. MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 23:53, October 13, 2021 (EDT)

The mother's name is「チョロプー子」(Choropūko).
Yes, a Monty Mole mentions a king of theirs that it was going to take Mario and co. to.
I don't see any more names that need to be added. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 23:55, October 14, 2021 (EDT)

Thanks for the info. I’ll add the implied king for the Monty Moles in the implied characters you can source the dialogue there if you want. MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 00:10, October 15, 2021 (EDT)

I'm not that familiar with casual Japanese so the best I can do is pick up names and a few phrases or at least the general meaning of them. Can you also be more specific on which Rocky Wrench creature? If you're referring to the one on the poster in the first scan, it just says "Mario VS Mogera Kong" with no indication of what species it is. The miners don't appear to be named.

The Monty Mole just said「こいつら、大王さまのところへ連れていくだよ。」(Koitsura, daiō-sama no tokoro e tsureteiku da yo.) which means, "We'll take these guys to the great king's place." If it needs to be added to a page, it should be the original quote plus a translation.

Please check that a link works for guest viewers before linking it to someone. This Mega link also doesn't work. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 04:14, October 16, 2021 (EDT)

Okay, but how do you know that's their name? It's something they shout aloud but I can't be certain that it's what they call themselves.
Re. Mogera Kong, there is not enough info to determine that, but it can be listed on the implied characters page.
Ragumo's page already cites the same passage, which only conjectures that it's related and doesn't confirm it.
BTW it'd also help for others reading the scans if you took them in the correct orientation. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:38, October 16, 2021 (EDT)
The painter's name is Choropū the Picasso (チョロプー・ザ・ピカソ), his muscular cutout is named Macchoropū (マッチョロプー), and the vehicle he uses is the Road Roller (ロードローラー) which is labelled "Nachunaru" (ナチュナル) (don't know what it means but it may just be a name, and probably a pun on "natural" (ナチュラル)). Considering the volume is based on 3D Land, the face on it does seem to be a Morty Mole. As for the ending, it looks more like the Monty Mole Mario was talking to in that panel was actually a cutout, which explains why it's silent (Mario also asks what this place is and demands it to speak up) and looks the same in two panels. The guy at the end says, "「世にも微妙な物語」でした。" which seems to be a reference to the Japanese TV series "世にも奇妙な物語" (Yo ni mo Kimyou na Monogatari, "Tales of the Unusual") with 奇妙 (kimyou, unusual) swapped out for 微妙 (bimyou, subtle), so he's essentially saying, "This was 'Tales of the Subtle.'"
" The writers probably did it to help introduce these characters much easier (since the target demographic is mainly children)." - Fair enough, I suppose I should have at least mentioned what the miners shouted (チョロザイル, "Chorozairu", though I don't know what it means or what the second half is derived from).
"was the Noki talking about those posters that had Mogera Kong being made up movie posters or something?" - I can't tell what he's saying exactly but he doesn't mention their being movie posters.
"Oh also, should the Mogera Kong be in the trivia page for Rocky Wrench or no?" - It can just be mentioned in the SMK section itself. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 01:31, October 18, 2021 (EDT)
AKG48 (based on AKB48): プー子 (Pūko) the Rocky Wrench, テレちん (Terechin) the Boo, クリみな (Kurimina) the Goomba, ゲソりん (Gesorin) the Blooper, フゲまゆゆ (Fugemayuyu) the Porcupuffer, ハチ子 (Hachiko) the Stingby, バブちゃん (Babu-chan) the Lava Bubble, and ボムりん (Bomurin) the Bob-omb. The festival is called「もぐらまつり」(Mogura Matsuri, Mole Festival) and I don't see a date, only that it takes place "today" once a year. The female Monty Mole is actually Pūko, so she must have taken the appearance of a Rocky Wrench earlier, so yes, this member at least should get an article. The whack-a-mole sign says「もぐらたたき」(mogura tataki, which is just "whack-a-mole"), but Pūko later clarifies it's a「チョロプーがたたくゲーム」(Choropū ga tataku gēmu, a game where Monty Moles whack you, since mogura tataki literally translates to "mole strike" and can be interpreted as the mole being the subject rather than the object). The Monty Mole with glasses running the raffle (where Luigi wins two Statue Leaves) isn't named, and can just go on the Monty Mole page. I don't see any appearances or mentions of knight Monty Moles.
Re. volume 17, no, there was no mention of who or where the jewellery came from. The drink was aojiru. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 08:33, October 19, 2021 (EDT)
Considering she says "The Monty Moles here are all only good moles" when she introduces the festival (and what she says in my next sentence), I'd say Pūko is a Monty Mole. She just mentions the suit being a "super-metal, invincible power suit handed down for generations in the Monty Mole family".
Again, my casual Japanese isn't good and I wouldn't be able to give an accurate translation of the PMTOK dialogue. The Rocky Wrench's bio says "Appears from the ground and throws spanners. Be careful of suspicious manholes on the field." Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:42, October 21, 2021 (EDT)
No, by "family" it means the Monty Mole species, not a specific, literal family. I don't know anyone specifically but you've already posted on the forum, so if someone who can sees it, they'll reply. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:52, October 21, 2021 (EDT)
The mother is just called「チョロプー(母)」(Choropū (Haha), which is just "Monty Mole (Mother)"); similarly, the children are just called「チョロプー(子どもたち)」(Choropū (Kodomo-tachi), "Monty Mole (Children)"). If you're referring to the bottom middle panel on pg. 128, it says "And then, the underground Monty Mole house..." The steak is called「サンタ食うロース」(Santa kuu Rōsu, Sirloin for Santa, and a pun of "Santa Claus"). Re. volume 55, it's literally just a picture of the ghosts so definitely not, and you need to be more specific when you're referencing an entire volume (what page are the ghosts on in volume 4?). I'd count sneak peeks as a first appearance, though I think its full appearance should be dated as well. The Choropū Men'iwa say「にがさんぞ~~!!」(Nigasan zo~~!!, "Don't try to escape~~!!")

Formal writing

Please pay attention to the tone of your writing and keep it as formal and professional as possible. Words like "gonna" and "sorta" are colloquial and should not be used on articles. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 04:56, October 15, 2021 (EDT)

SMK

I'd like to know how you're summarising these chapters btw if you don't know Japanese. If you're just basing it off the pictures alone, while it can work most of the time, I'm going to have to ask you to not do this so heavily in the future as it can lead to inaccurately/incorrectly describing the events in the manga (for example, the Choropū (Kodomo-tachi) were not "snarky" and thought Mario was Santa, they thought he was a thief at first). Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 05:15, October 23, 2021 (EDT)

Okay but you didn't answer my post. And you're still forgetting "an" before words beginning with vowel sounds; pay attention to this and proofread your edits, otherwise you'll receive a warning since you've been reminded of this several times already. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:13, October 23, 2021 (EDT)
I'm not translating anything until you stop sidestepping what I asked in my first post. This is something that's important to know before handling these translations. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:19, October 24, 2021 (EDT)

RE:Super Mario-kun

Volume 11 has Wario Land, Donkey Kong '94 and Wario's Woods so... no: no Moles in main chapters nor in the puzzle pages.

I would say the SMkun section is pretty much perfect. Maybe one or two minor appearances are missing, but you got basically all the chapters that mainly focus on Monty Moles.

--Mariuigi Khed (talk) 05:50, October 23, 2021 (EDT)

I repeat: safe bet that you mention ALL the chapters that main focus on the Monty Moles. A part MAYBE from minor appearances (like in middle of groups), you got everything in there. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 10:02, October 24, 2021 (EDT)

I need to charge the card, but in the afternoon I can get the last volume. Also, I'm still working on that list you asked me about it. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 07:03, November 1, 2021 (EDT)

Well, between studies and work, it's slow pacing. As for the list, as for now (first 15 volume), I didn't find anything missing. Also, I thought my work paycheck was weekly, but due to the new contract, it's now monthly, so I didn't buy the new volume yet (since I was waiting the work moneys, instead of using directly mine). Maybe tomorrow I can buy it. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 18:29, November 5, 2021 (EDT)

So, the dialogues you linked say (approximately) this:

  • "My big brother
    He doesn't want to work
He jumped out here and got somewhere."
  • "He's somewhere
    Selling stuff by knocking.
[And then I completely gave up with this last sentence, either he's asking what's the name of his brother's job, he's asking if he's ok, or "what he's doing in that garden/gated entrance/tea-garden"]"

More or less, this should be the translation of those dialogues. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 19:41, November 5, 2021 (EDT)

Ok, here's the list so far (reached volume 15 for now). Mega Moles (whose page section is very poor) are also listed here. So, what you didn't mention (or little mistakes to fix, signed with a *) are the follows:

  1. In volume 1, chapter 1, Yoshi is the one talking about Bowser's army, not Bowser.*
  2. In volume 1, chapter 7, I've seen in some translations on the few mangas' translation sites, that the Mega Mole is considered the parent (possibly the mom) of the Monty Moles burnt by Mario.*
  3. In volume 1, chapter 9, the trio meets a coward (and unnamed) Mega Mole (I thought his name was Indy, until I checked that it was the Japanese species name, I'll call him Indy for simplicity): the trio falls on top of Indy while chasing Yoshi, who ate the Underground map. Indy is more scared of them and cowers in fear. Mario and Luigi laughs at the idea of a big enemy being scared and, removing his shades, Indy presents himself and explains he got left behind from all his co-workers. After being saved by Balloon-Frog Mario from drowning, Indy escorts them to the exit. Riding on a Skull Lift, they're attacked by a Blargg, sent to finish the job and kill off Indy too for his betrayal. Inspired by Mario's bravery, even in front of such desperate situation, Indy jumps into the Blargg's mouth, clogging it but falling back into the lava with the monster. Immediately, after, though, it's revealed that he survived, much to his new friends' joy, and the Blargg is still stuck on his head.
  4. In volume 1, chapter 15, about the “Super Shades” that transforms Mario into Mole Mario, I'll would add this was (probably) the inspiration for Mole Tank/Mole Yoshi.*
  5. In volume 2, chapter 11, it's Bowser and ROY's Summer Festival trap, not Bowser and Morton.*
  6. In volume 4, chapter 3, Kamek's balloon is actually a Monty Mole, not just shaped as.*
  7. In volume 4, chapter 8, no problems in the chapter himself (you mentioned the ghost of the Mole seen in Hell), but you MAY forgot to mention the puzzle that follows the chapter is a Maze shaped as a Monty Mole.
  8. In volume 5, chapter 10, Lemmy creates (poorly-drawn) doodle Koopa Troops soldiers with Mario Paint, including a Mole (not sure if Mega or Monty).
  9. In volume 5, chapter 11, the Grudge Rock trows not only the Choropū Men'iwa to the trio, but even other enemies' souls trapped into rocks, but most of them are Monty Moles. (I presume you created the Choropū Men'iwa page, I would suggest making it more generic in order to include the other enemies)*
  10. In volume 5, chapter 12, part 2, a Rocky Wrench is squash by Luigi during the Star World battle against Bowser 3.
  11. In volume 6, chapter 1, Yoshi doesn't get “reincarnated”: as seen in the previous comic, it's revealed that using that "Yoshi attack", transforms him into "Star Yoshi".*
  12. In volume 6, chapter 2, the trio face a Thwomp headed Sphynx, another hybrid with (again) Monty Mole's hands.
  13. In volume 6, chapter 4, the trio is attacked by a Mega Mole racer on a icy circuit. He tries to squash Mario after using the Poison Mushroom, his kart is motor-boated, so the ice breaking under his weight isn't a problem, and finally he's defeated with a Lightining Bolt and trapped inside a snowman.
  14. In volume 6, chapter 12, the Monty Mole is instructed by Bowser in helping DK Junior with his rematch.*
  15. In volume 7, chapter 12, a Mega Mole blocks fat Mario and Yoshi's path but, sick and tired of YET ANOTHER obstacle, Mario lift him and trow him away (à la SMB2), right against Yoshi.

The rest is all fine. I'll check the rest, later. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 11:52, November 6, 2021 (EDT)

Ah, forgot to tell you: tonight I'll see to translate those KC Mario pages. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 12:38, November 6, 2021 (EDT)

Ok, the answers are:

  • About the Super Choropū, I see those manga translator make him/her call the Monty Moles "my little ones". About the sex of the character, I'm more inclined to believe it's a she (because in Italian and "Mole" and "Monty Mole" are feminine names in my language, but I have to check for the Japanese version, and it's not that easy).
  • The "Grudge Rock" (or "Rock of Envy"), it's that Goomba rock with the ! on the forehead. I think it's some sort of Japanese ghost, but the closest thing I found is the Ikiryo, which is a ghost whose negative emotions make the spirit stay in the living realm, and some myths agree on the fact that it can possess people and things. So I guess all of those rocks with the faces of Goombas, Monty Moles, Rip Van Fish and Charging Chuck are these Ikiryos, and are called "Grudge Rock" by the Eeries and the chapter title. Probably "Choropū Men'iwa" isn't exactly the species name, but a simple description.
  • Yes, chapter 4 explicitly states that Mario goes to THE actual Hell (and this is maybe the reason we don't have the Underwhere in the manga, during the SMP arc). Fun fact, I was sure that the bearded Bowser Mario meets in Hell was supposed to be the Japanese version of the Devil/God of Death that, for comedian reasons, has the same face as Bowser, but turns out it's simply the ghost of Bowser's Ancestor.
  • The Thwomp Sphinx, simply called “Sphinx”, as the chapter baddie, I agree on the fact that he should have his own page (since we have other pages, I would call it "Sphinx (Super Mario-kun)"). The Blargg Creature, Bookitu says "It's a combined/coalesced/united monster I wanted to make", so let's call him “Combined Monster”. And yes, a page for him too, we'll probably have to make pages for the original transformations (and maybe moves) in the mangas, so why not on the minor original characters? On this note, I would make a page for that friendly Mega Mole of volume 1, chapter 9 (simply called "Mega Mole (character)").
  • Finally, yes it's a real Monty Mole, not a balloon shaped as a Mole. It's disguised as a balloon to be in theme with the New Year Japanese tradition (see that Thwomp rolled in a futon in the same chapter).

Yes, I'll do the Sphinx and Monster pages. Yes, the Mole that helps DK Jr. is the same of the beginning of that chapter. And gotta check if Monty-Swoop have a name. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 17:01, November 6, 2021 (EDT)

Ok, so…

  • The Monty Mole's stand is "Harajuku air museum". Harajuku is (sort of) a Tokyo neighboorhood. I suppose it's a random reference to the real Tokyo's air museum.
  • The Volume 7's scene dialogue are the follow (dialogue semi-adapted, for better reading): Also, here's the scan.
Mario defeats the Mega Mole he meets in chapter 12, with "Mario USA Power!".
    • MM: "そこまでだ、マリオ!" (That's it, Mario!)
    • M: "インディー!" (A Mega Mole!)
    • MM: "おせいぼは あきらめな。" (Give up on the Oshibo. [NdT: the Oshibo is a packed lunch, most commonly used for funerals and wakes but also as normal bentos.])
    • M: "はーい、あきらめ まーす!" (“Give up”? Very well)
    • Y: "あきらめちゃ いやですよ! せっかく 持って、きたのに‼" (We're not gonna give up! I put all my effort and might into that Oshibo!!)
    • M: "しょうがない、おれの 新しい技を 。見せて やろう。" (It can't be helped, then. I'm gonna resort to my new technique!)
    • MM: "ほ~つ。" (Go on then.)
    • M: "見せて もらおうか。よーし。" (You asked for it! Al-righty then!) "マリオUSA パワー!" (SMB2 POWER!)
    • MM: [various screms]
    • M: "どんな もんだ。" (Hope you liked it!)
    • Y: "わたしに一 ぶつけないで くださいよ。" (Enough with hitting me!)
  • No, didn't miss anything in those span of volumes: everything you put was pretty much PERFECT (I swear: I didn't even notice some of those appearance you listed, reason why I made a second check)
  • What I would suggest is to change "Choropū Men’iwa" in "Rock of Grudge/Envy Rock" (Romanized in "Urami no iwa", うらみの岩) so that we can include the two Goombas, the Rip Van Fish and the Chuck that appear in the same condition as the Moles too.

--Mariuigi Khed (talk) 08:24, November 7, 2021 (EST)

About the Rock of Grudge page... if we have to create a page for each species, we'll have to make a page for the Chargin Chuck rock that appears in ONE pannel? I don't think so: let's open a discussion on Choropū Men’iwa and ask the others.

Also, no: Fishing Boo is the graveyard warden and the creature is, like Frankenstein, a combination of multiple corpse parts. No relation to the rocks.

The KC Mario pages (and eventually the "to be confirmed" facts) will arrive but, again, studies and work and me-time comes first. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 12:08, November 7, 2021 (EST)

No, the fan art at the end of KC Mario I wouldn't write about it. A Gallery is more then enough for it --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 13:45, November 7, 2021 (EST)

Ok, I'm still translating those KC Mario pages, but in the meanwhile I can already tell you some of the stuff you asked:

  • the Mega Mole in volume 1 isn't a parent (just the boss of the Monties) nor a female (I see more male pronoum with him like "big guy").
  • The Monty Mole-Swooper doesn't have a name.
  • The canned Monty Mole, APPARENTLY, is "100% Monty Mole Beetroot" (could be wrong, but is the only food name that text on the can could give me)
  • The volume 4 maze's description is "The second super maze uses a Monty Mole as base. While holding a scared Yoshi [NdT: or something like that], let's aim for the goal!"
  • Ups, almost forgot the volume 6's Mega Mole:
    • MM: "あいつら、 カートもろとも。ボロボロに一 なっちまったぜ。" (Now both them and their kart are goners.)
    • M: "そうは いくかーっ!" (Is that so?/You wish!)
    • MM: "なにーっ! マ・マント カートか!" (WHAT!? A caped kart!?) [Mario has put his cape on the kart to make it fly]
    • M: "アイテムも バッチリよ!" (The items are perfect!) "逆転だぜ、インディー!" (It's your turn, now, Mega Mole!) "マントカート イナズマ アターック!" (Caped Kart Lightning attack!)
    • MM: "しょ え~っ!" (Oh, my god!) "これじゃ、チョロ プーだぜ。" (Now I'm just a normal Monty Mole!) "たのも、大きく、してくれ。" (Please, make me bigger again!)
    • M: "しょうが ないな。" (I have an idea.) "大きく なったろ。" (You're bigger now!)
    • MM: "雪だるまで うめないで" [NdT: I honestly don't know, seems something like "This is not better" or "Get me out of here"]
    • B: "なさけ なーっ" ("That's cold, Mario.")
  • The rest will arrive, don't worry

--Mariuigi Khed (talk) 06:14, November 8, 2021 (EST)

Ok, let's see:

  • The caged Mega Mole doesn't have a name and the map page is basically a "narrated" strategy guide: "Riding the Mega Mole you can walk over the Munchers" "Crouching here I avoided this guy" and so on...
  • The cowboy hatted Mole description is saying something I don't fully manage to translate... from what I got it it's like a "bonus drawing".
  • In those span of pages (128-132), the Mega Mole are walking towards the heroes. They try to jump over them, but they fail and land on their head and Mario realizes that maybe they don't see well: maybe they weren't even attacking them. The rest, is pretty much understandable: Yoshi eat one of them plus (accidentally) Peach on top of it, Mario's Mole sinks into the swamp and Luigi defeat his with a cape twirl.
  • PLOT of SMW-6: The Mushroom Kingdom museum is exposing the Golden Mushroom, but it get stole on live by what it looks to be Bowser: King Toadstool nominates Mario, Luigi and Yoshi as sheriff in order to find the culprit quickly. Mario interrogates a group of Monties that are apparently working on the sewers and states they saw nothing, but in reality they are the actual culprits and framing Bowser with a chariot shaped like him. Bowser is arrested, but of course doesn't know anything of the Mushroom and is also accused of many other things he didn't do, like harassing Peach. The Moles attacks the group into the interrogation cell and wreak havoc with bob-ombs, but one of the Mole doesn't trow his bomb in time and their Bowser-chariot explodes. Panicking, the Moles run to a Wiggler car that Yoshi stops. The Mega Mole (head of the opration) uses a gun to stops Mario, but the sheriff star is an actual star so the bullets do nothing to him and the Mega Mole is defeated and arrested, while Bowser is freed of the accusations.
  • The miners have no names. Just generics "pals" and "guys"
  • No: no need to page the Mega Mole chief, but I fell like he could deserved more. But it's also true that it doesn't appear for THAT much so... no, no need to page him.
  • The volume 7 stuff is still in progress

--Mariuigi Khed (talk) 17:04, November 8, 2021 (EST).

  • Nah, don't need for a page for the Mole gang. Same reason as for the boss. And also because, if we have to list EVERY manga chapter antagonists as their own, we will DIE before reaching the half way point.
  • Nah, it's just a bonus drawing. No need to consider it an implied character.
  • The boss gets eaten, the minions are implied to be arrested.

--Mariuigi Khed (talk) 04:08, November 9, 2021 (EST)

  • The image you just sent me says "Entering underground monster Mega Mole" and it's its name: "地底怪獣 インディー" (Chitei kaijū indī).
    • On this note, here's the plot of volume 7: basically the volume is about kaiju fights that Bowser created. A Ninji has studies some of their enemies strategies and is instructed by Bowser to act. The Ninji, with the Underground monster Mega Mole, attack the heroes who went to Sarasaland. Using the G-force (that makes them bigger), Luigi becomes giant, but it's defeated and trapped in the sea of Birabuto. While Mario and Yoshi rescue him, Peach and Daisy are caught by the Ninji and the Mega Mole kaiju. Luigi is freed and Mario uses the G-force. His attack removes the Mega Mole shades and, since he can't take the sun light, Mario uses his cape like a shuriuken and cut in two the kaiju, freeing the princesses that are taken by Bowser.
  • I don't think the dialogue of volume 6 ending have anying useful for the page quotation, but here's anyway:
    • MM: (various grunts and laughs) "オレは キラーけん銃を一 もっている! 丸ごしの刑事なんて こわくはないぜ!" (I have a Bullet Bill gun! I'm not afraid of a fatty detective! [N.d.T: Ok, this one could be a nice quotation for the page, I'll admit it])
    • M: "むつ" [N.d.T.: I have litterally NO idea of the meaning of this. This means "six" but... it doesn't add up in any context in this scene. I suppose maybe it's a "GASP". However I see that it's also a syllable for stuff like intimations so, maybe, it's something like "Wait, stop!"]
    • MM: "死ねや マリオ!" (Die, Mario!) "えっ" (Eh?)
    • M: "このバッジは一 無敵スターで できてるから" (This badge is made of a Super Star.) "かざして いるときは 無敵さ!" (When you're holding up, you're invincible!)
    • MM: "へっ! それじゃあ 手錠なしで どうやって オレをつかま える気だ?" (Oh, my God! So how are you going to handcuff me, then?)
    • M: "代用品が あるよん" (There're other ways.) [NdT: I actually missed this, when you asked me the plot: Yoshi doesn't eat him, but just hold him in his mouth]

Don't worry, I'll continue to check the stuff you asked and still list the Monties. Also, sorry for mistaking the Big Monty for a Mega Mole. Beside the fact they both have the same name in Italian, I keep forgetting it because the Bigs appear later in the games. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 16:16, November 9, 2021 (EST)

Its ok, we all make mistakes sometimes. That is why there is people on this wiki that fix grammar and stuff. MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 16:18, November 9, 2021 (EST)

I finally got SMKun volume 57: no Moles in it. You also asked me what the Monty Mole stand said in volume 17 but... it has no name. If you're refering to the market, it's just "Flee Market". --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 12:11, November 10, 2021 (EST)

I can continue to check 'till volume 22, then I have some sparse volume from the site: the complete list of volumes I have are 1-22, 25, 37-40, 50-57. Also, don't worry, I'm still going with the KC Mario stuff. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 18:24, November 10, 2021 (EST)

Just checked and no: no Moles in volume 51 and 52 (excluding the Mukumuku in SMRPG) and no one makes a comparison between the Undergrunts (btw, only Major Burrow appears) and the Monty Moles. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 08:53, November 11, 2021 (EST)

Ok, here's the answers of the KC Mario stuff:

  • The miner Mole in "Vol. 13: Mario Open Golf" is defenitly a Mega Mole: it's bigger then the little Mole in the hole.
  • The Biker gang has a no name.
  • No, it's not a subspecies: they're normal Monty Moles. They look human only because they have longer legs so they can make them visually better while riding a bike.
  • I'll go ahead and presume the "Monty Mole fan" are the one from page 48. "あせったって ムダさ プー" (It's a waste of time!) "おまえの カートにや エンジンが ついてないん だプウ~" (Your kart doesn't have an engine)
  • Summary: they seemingly just escort Bowser to the race to make him more intimidating. On the starting line, some moles dig below Mario's kart and remove the engine. Mario takes one from the pit stopper. Later, after making Bowser go off-road, Mario and the Pit Stopper reach DK (aka young Cranky) and DKJr.'s kart (btw, some racers are in two on a kart, like in Double Dash). They have a kart crash. Mario's kart is still ok and uses it to take Junior, too injured, to the Dr. Mario's clinic hospital, while DK hops on Bowser's kart towards the finish. On the way to the hospital Mario is obstacled by the Monty Mole gang, but uses the power of a Boo he saved to become transparent and surpasses the gang. Mario then returns to the track, reaches DK-Bowser, who are arguing, and wins the race (however his price money goes to the pit stop team for the engine, to the clinic for Junior's cures, and to the race track team for the damages, but he still keeps the trophy cup that gives to the King to replace the broken vase).
  • About the bazooka, Bowser say "it's a new Monty Mole bullet" (チョロプー 弾; Choropū-dan), but doesn't seem to be the weapon, that he uses in the previous chapter with Koopa shells. So it's a normal bazooka.
  • Ehm... what Monty Mole miner? In Super Mario Kart 3 I only see Moles with military basque.
  • The Monty that tosses the scoprion to Luigi is called by Peach "Mr. Monty Mole" (チョロプーさん, Choropū-san) but defenitly not as a name. Later it's theoriezed that the Monties (not clear if just the "military gang" or the whole species) originate from the underground city. Mario and Peach runs over a Mole that presents himself as the city warden. Then that's it.
  • The only blood in the volume comes from Bowser when he stings with a rose, not from the Monties.
  • The dialogue of the scorpion trowing Monty is: "オレは マリオカートを じゃまする ためにいるんだ すこしはこわが一 れってんだよォオ" (I've been ordered to get in the way of Mario's kart and I'm scared) "わらっていら れるのは、いまのうちだ!" (It's time to finish you!) "この 猛毒サソリを プレゼントして やるからな!" (Enjoy this deadly venomous scoprion as a gift!)
  • The dialogue of the temple warden is: "そうだ! 血清は一番奥の 神殿にある" (Yes! The serum [for the scorpion venom]) is in the inner temple!) "ほしければ 最後の番人である。 オレをたおしてから いけ!" (If you want it, you'll have to pass trough me! I'm the last guard!) [then, this is funny, Mario says: "Very well. (runs over him) Thank you."]
  • The underground city is apparently called "Pooh Continent" (probably from the last syllable of Choropu) "プー大陸, Pū tairiku". Also yes: this place does need a page.
  • I can't understand what the Mega Mole in Wart's casino is saying, sorry.
  • The Tree Zone descrption says nothing interesting just: "If you go under the roots, you will find enemies such as moles in the cavity!!"
  • No name, it's just the ghost of a Monty.

DONE. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 07:26, November 12, 2021 (EST)

Don't worry, dude. It's still fun doing this (no matter the numerous questions). So:

  • I repeat, the Monty bikers aren't another species, they look strange because they have to reach the pedals, but they are normal Monty Moles. And their role isn't that big, having a very tamed role even for ONE chapter standars.
  • They don't say anything to Bowser. The only thing they say is a jeer to Mario when they sabotage his kart (see above), then, when they surround Mario the lead biker say:
    • MM: "この先は通さんプ" (The destination is off-limits)
    • M: "どけっ! 仲間の命が かかってん だぞ" (No, no! The life of my friend is at stake.)
    • MM: "ゴリラの 命なんて どうでもいいさ" (I don't care for the life of a stupid gorilla)
    • M: Mario uses the Boo
    • MM: "ななんだ?マリオがいなくなったぞ!" (WHAT THE-!? HE'S GONE!)
  • The "military Moles" don't have a name. No need for a page, they're simply some monties with a role in the Pooh Continent.
  • No: they are diffrent: the Golf one has no cross in the helmet. And ok, they have a name, they can surly have a page: "チョロプー ちかたい 地下部隊" (Choropū Chikatai chika butai) Monty Mole small Underground Unit
  • The temple it's just called "inner temple": it has no name.
  • I hope the decription is the one at the entrance that Queen opens to Peach and Mario: it's the underground city name: "Pooh continent" (プー大陸, Pū tairiku).
  • No, it's a normal Mole the one that sabotages Mario's kart.
  • I think they are the same miners but without the helmets.

PS: I got my first paycheck and could afford the rest of the SMKun volumes I don't have, but first I want to be sure to buy the Switch for my cousin for Christmas (so some of the volumes will have to wait) --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 13:00, November 14, 2021 (EST)

Ok then:

  • Once again, I don't think: the biker gang has a very VERY minor role in the chapter story to deserve its own page. Same for the Monty soldiers
  • Oh, right, I forgot to give you the dialogues of the miners in Super Mario Kart 3 (cause I think I gave you the rest): "はいっこちらチョロプーちかたい地下部隊" (Yes, here Monty Mole small Underground Unit) "工事は予定どおり すんでいます。" (Construction is proceeding as planned.) [NdT: "weren't you supposed to demolish, tho?" They built and empty space and put a giant log as column so, after breaking the log, everything falls. That's what they've been "constructing"] "マリオが 通過する 決行せよ!" (Mario is passing. Go, go, go!)

I'm already working on the translations of those descriptions. Hopefully I got everything I should check. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 17:00, November 14, 2021 (EST)

But I gave you that: both from the scoprion trowing Monty and from the Monty left to guard their underground citizen. --Mariuigi Khed (talk) 17:00, November 14, 2021 (EST)

  • Yes: I missed another group (チョロプー 森林隊, Choropū shinrin-tai, Monty Mole Forest Corp) [pagg. 46-48 of Super Mario Kart 3]. Not missing that much on their sentences: "Roger" "We messed up." "Sorry!". If these are the humanoid Moles you were talking (I can't seem to find anything else. If I'm wrong, then I give up: just tell me page and volume), again: they just seems strange because they wear clothes, but are very normal Monty Moles.
  • Description of the Pooh Continent: "おおっ 地下都市の 跡だ!" (Oh, it's the ruins of an underground city!) "チョロプーたちは一 このプー大陸の 出身だったの か!" (Did the Monty Moles come from this Pooh Continent?) [NdT: This last sentence it's not clear if it's just their base or their abbandoned birthplace, but judging by the temple, I would the say the second option]
  • Yes, they share the same hat, but they have a very clear height diffrence: the "scorpion-er" is tall as Mario, the warden is bigger than his car (that makes him a Mega Mole).

--Mariuigi Khed (talk) 09:59, November 15, 2021 (EST)

OK, here's some of the translated descriprion from those manuals. (I translated the Big Montogomery sections, but are nothing more that a battle guides. Nothing interesting for the character itself).

  • Origami Rocky Wrench: "Emerges from the ground and throws a spanner. Watch out for suspicious manholes"
  • YWW Monty Mole: "It appears from the ground and walls and runs towards me (Yoshi). If you drop your hips while you're underground, you can kill them before they appear."
  • YWW Monty Mole Patches: "It appears when the knot of the topography where the picture of Monty Mole was drawn is untied. When it appears, hurry up and jump overhead to find it."
  • Monty seller PMTOK: "When you get to Overlook Mountain you can explore and follow the road. There, Monty Mole sells something on the way. This is a green Shell Stone, so wait for it and buy it with 300 coins!"

When starting a talk page proposal, there is a lot you should be aware off:

  • Under the section header, you need to put a proposal notice "TPP".
  • Each subsection header of the proposal uses three equal signs on each side, not four. The header for the entire proposal uses two on each side.
  • The deadline date is two weeks from the day the proposal starts.
  • On MarioWiki:Proposals, in the "List of ongoing talk page proposals" section, you need to link to your proposal. You can follow the code of other links in the section.

Last warning

Lastwarn.svg
This is your last warning. The next time you break the rules in any way, you will be blocked from editing the Super Mario Wiki.
If you feel this last warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Either you're choosing not to read anything other than what you requested or you read the advice and refused to follow it because in no instance of using an indefinite article have you used it correctly before a vowel sound since the initial reminder, and it's frustrating for others having to correct the same mistakes you were notified for several times. If you want others to cooperate with you, at the very least start doing the same and take advice seriously and listen to what else others are telling you.

Also, don't make it a habit of always reverting someone else's edit removing something you wrote. If you think it should stay, discuss it first. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:07, October 30, 2021 (EDT)

RE:Monty Mole Stuff

I don’t have the game—can’t access it since it’s not available in my region—and even if I did, I’m afraid that with the game’s discontinuation currently drawing near, any of my potential efforts would have been hasty and possibly fruitless. The Dr. Mario World pictures I’m uploading originate from the game’s promotional social media accounts, which do not seem to make any allusion to Monty Moles whatsoever. Sorry about that.
As for any sign of talpid depictions in the concept art of Mario + Rabbids, I’ll have to check and I’ll be able to do so at a later time. Thank you for your inquiry! -- KOOPA CON CARNE 16:58, October 31, 2021 (EDT)

Chronological order

See MarioWiki:Manual of Style#History - Pay attention to where you're adding new History subsections, as they should be in chronological order. Badge Arcade did not come out between the first Yoshi-franchise game and the G&W Gallery series, so on the Monty Mole page, it should be placed after Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and before Dr. Mario World. Re: Mole Screenshots

I got screenshots of battles in Color Splash and Origami King, but credits stuff is usually harder since it takes a long time to do, so I don't think I'll be able to get that. I'm not sure what you mean by the soccer shop.

The full-body sprites for Sticker Star are technically used in-game, but not visible. I checked in a model viewer and the Rocky Wrench's entire body is drawn and animated, you just can't see past the manhole. Here's an example of what it looks like:

Sorry, but I'm not good at piecing together sprites and it's always obscured. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 18:17, November 9, 2021 (EST)
I don't have a dump of 3D Land, and I'm not very good at model renders. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 19:36, November 9, 2021 (EST)
I don't own any Mario guidebooks. You could check who's done edits relating to 3D renders and 3D Land, I know some people have but I can't remember their names at the moment. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 20:14, November 9, 2021 (EST)

Excessive requests

Hello. I've noticed you've had had a heavy hand pestering people with multitudes of requests. This includes demanding multiple renders and model ripping, demading screenshots, demanding information from difficult to obtain mangas, demanding multiple translations from said mangas, repeatedly from Mario jc, demanding other users to look up guidebook information for you and even demanding myself to rip sprites from games I don't contribute towards to and demanding sprites ripped towards an inactive member. Every single link here links to a different user's talk page, to illustrate how excessive you have been in asking other people to do work for you. This is on top of countless talk pages you created, some questions you can easily find the answer to yourself such as finding out if Monty Moles appear in Mario Party 4, rather than requesting others do the research for you. The sitewite blatant disrespect towards other users' time and effort shown here is not to be tolerated on MarioWiki, and if it's clear that other users are not as interested in the subject matter as you are, I suggest you drop asking multitudes of other people to obtain resources for you. If you want to learn how to rip and render 3D models, learn the craft yourself. Similarily, learn how to obtain the manga and translate it yourself. A little bit of requesting assistance is fine here and there as not everyone has everything at once, but your rate of resource begging is to be curbed. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 02:32, November 14, 2021 (EST)

Not to mention that all of those requests are related to one particular subject. You don't suppose you could, I dunno, make non-Monty-related edits? RickTommy (talk) 07:25, November 14, 2021 (EST)
I am sorry for being so demanding, I’ll try and not ask people so much to do stuff for me and instead try and do it myself (though I will still need help with the manga translations if that is ok with you since it would be hard to learn Japanese). I just wanted to know the info so sorry if I was being very demanding. I hope you can understand that I was not trying to harm anyone or make them uneasy. MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 11:34, November 14, 2021 (EST)
I would advise you from focusing on articles that do not relate to Monty Moles for a while as well. We all get you are a big fan, but other articles unrelated to them need attention as well. Sdman213 (talk) 12:06, November 14, 2021 (EST)
Understandable, I did do some edits to the moles seen in Super Mario Galaxy which are not related to Monty Moles. But, I am not very good with info for other species, have any suggestions I should do? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 12:09, November 14, 2021 (EST)
Any other topic unrelated to Moles/Rocky Wrenches/Undergrunts/etc. would be helpful Sdman213 (talk) 12:11, November 14, 2021 (EST)
I did do an edit to the Wiggler page, I did use to like researching Wiggler stuff so I could help with that a little but (though my Wiggler knowledge is a little rusty now). MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 12:16, November 14, 2021 (EST)
I noticed you seem to have access to certain guidebooks, so information relating to other species from them that we don't have would be a good start, particularly with enemy stats for Origami King. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 12:18, November 14, 2021 (EST)
Oh sure, I can provide scans of the enemy stats (it even also says the exact damage enemy attacks do). MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 12:20, November 14, 2021 (EST)
Just to clarify, you're free to edit any subject matter to your heart's content, as there are no rules against laser-focused edits to particular articles. We're all here because of our interests. However, when it comes to a point where your decision making affects other editors who also want to edit the wiki for their reasons and influencing your competency to collaborate with other people, that is when we'll step in. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 12:24, November 14, 2021 (EST)
I uploaded those guidebook scans in the talk page for the bestiary. Also, Maruigi is cool if I ask them questions since they are happy to help me (I asked them just to make sure that they didn’t feel overwhelmed by the questions). MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 13:35, November 14, 2021 (EST)

Edit warring

This warning has been overturned by the MarioWiki staff. The original warning can still be viewed.
Warning.svg
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (edit warring) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You have lately had a habit of trying to force your edits back in a page after it has been reverted, such as with List of implied locations (even I don't agree with having the underground city there for reasons already explained by Mario jc and Sdman123). You already brought it up in the talk page so do not add this back without a general consensus. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 05:04, November 15, 2021 (EST)

One question: what does overturning a warning mean? Red Oho Jee from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. OhoJeeOnFire (talk)
Simply means that the warning no longer pertains. As the user received a last warning previously, per blocking policy, they would be blocked if they committed a sufficient rule-break. Edit warring is a severe offence regardless of previous infractions, and therefore blocking them was appropriate. Due to this, the recent warning was overturned, for a simple warning was not appropriate in the situation; if we continue to give regular warnings after a "last warning", than the impact of a "last" warning is lost. The patroller above simply made an error. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 11:33, November 15, 2021 (EST)
That’s good to know. Thanks. You also mad a few typos but that’s okay. Red Oho Jee from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. OhoJeeOnFire (talk)
Wait a second, you didn’t explain clearly what edit warring is. Red Oho Jee from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. OhoJeeOnFire (talk)
You asked for what "overturning" meant in the context of our warnings. Your question did not pertain to edit warring. If you ever want information on given infractions, go to MarioWiki: Warning Policy or any other policy pages. Nonetheless, an "edit war" is when two users, over a period, initiate an immature argument through edits, repeatedly reverting and re-adding each other's edits. In a situation of conflict, one should engage in legitimate discussion with the other user, not participate in such a petty feud.
