Disruptive edits
Hi, sorry for the disruptive editing, but I disagree with the fact that I see that despite being a hybrid, the Nintendo Switch is actually a home console. What should I do before I can make a major change on the video game system articles and templates?

When making small edits like fixing links, make sure you mark them as "minor" by clicking the "This is a minor edit" checkbox above the "Save changes" button.

If you wish to see Red Blargg merged with Blargg, please bring up the subject on either talk page first. Considering their different appearances and different names (in English and Japanese), some users may be apprehensive to the idea of merging them (not to mention that Spike Bass and Porcupuffer remain split despite having identical behaviors throughout the New Super Mario Bros. games anyways). I disagree with these rename templates because the way those "names" are used in the sources are more as generic terms rather than proper names. If that is the case, sticking with the other language name is still preferable.

Organization of the Yoshi franchise
Hello, it appears that you have been reorganizing Yoshi franchise information into very specific subheaders which has been excessive. When dealing with subseries such as Yoshi, headers should simply label the entire franchise, such as how Banana is handled regarding the Donkey Kong series; this also applies to Wario as well. In addition, if individual appearances are similar such as Smiley Flower, they should be considered into a single Yoshi's Island series section rather than cover each individual entry in a header.

Your uploads
You don't have to reupload an image to change its filename, just move it like you would any other page. However, I'd also point out that the proposal you're citing for the moves didn't actually pass. --

After you move a file, you need to edit the articles that link to it and change the old file name to the new file name. There are still articles that link to the old file names (they're listed on Special:WhatLinksHere, which you click on under "tools" on the left navigation bar while on the old file name's page). After all the links for a file have been updated, mark the old file name for deletion with {{delete}}. I'm not sure why you're moving these anyway if there was no passed proposal that decided this. As repeatedly pointed out on your recent TPP, you simply copy-pasted another user's earlier proposal for the Birdo page, merely swapping out mentions of "Birdo" with "Yoshi". Not only does this severely muddle up the point being made as several of the arguments original brought up are blatantly not applicable to the case being discussed, this, is to be truthful, plagiarism. You took another contributor's work, making no attempt to ask for permission or credit the original text, and passed it off as your own. This may be in the narrow and niche context of intra-wiki discussions, but that doesn't make it right.
Doing what you did in a creative and professional context invariably comes with serious, almost-always career-ending consequences, That you made no attempt to address or acknowledge the matter after it was brought up by other users does not speak well of your ethics as an editor either. --Glowsquid (talk) 12:14, October 9, 2022 (EDT)

If you know something is going to have near-unanimous opposition, it's always best to bide your time and wait for new information or general consensus to evolve rather than attempting to "settle" it there and then. In this case, there's still a lot of things split that can be treated as reason to keep a more important subject like this split. I've waited months or years for some things which paid off well. (Also, when making proposals, don't rely fully on others to do your homework and debating. Tropical Freeze gallery proposal
Not sure if you're looking at the comments in your proposal, but it has been requested that the proposal's exact goals should be made clearer (if you intend to make a new gallery page as you attempted, or move all images to the game's page). It would also be nice if another option was added to the proposal to further distinguish the two possibilities. As of me leaving this message, you have three days to make these changes. Next time you attempt to make a big change without discussing or proposing will be followed with a block. Do not just put deletion tags on other pages and attempt to merge it all on one page without at least trying to see what others would think about the situation.
