Timber's Island
Timber's Island is the island where the events of Diddy Kong Racing takes place. It is located near Donkey Kong Island. It is ruled by Taj the elephant genie, but Wizpig, an giant, evil pig from a planet known as 'Future Fun Land' arrives and takes over, and forces four powerful creatures to serve him.
The island consists of four 'zones', each with four racetracks. In the order in which they are usually visited, they are; 'Dino Domain' - this zone is set in and around Hot Top Mountain - a volcano (also a racecourse for planes), seemingly in prehistoric times. The boss is Tricky the Triceratops. Next is 'Snowflake Mountain' - an icy zone on top of a mountain, it's boss is Bluey the Walrus. Then is Sherbert Island - styled as a tropical island with courses based in the sea and on a ship. The boss is Bubbler the Octopus. Finally is Dragon Forest, a zone with medieval-themed courses. The boss is Smokey the Dragon. In the center of Timber Island is a large cliff face, in the shape of Taj. However, when Wizpig takes over, he changes it to the face of himself.
On the island, there is also a rocket leading to Wizpig's home planet, Future Fun Land, disguised as a lighthouse. When the player completes all four trophy races, they can access this rocket and travel to Future Fun Land, for a final showdown with Wizpig.
