TPP: Allow Mad Scienstein to be merged with Arewo Shitain-hakase

Recently a three-part translation emerged, which translates the Wario interview seen on the official Japanese Wario Land 4 gamepage. According to the translation, one question is relayed to Arewo Shitain-hakase, instead of Wario. And this particular line was stated:

Oh! My name is Professor Shitain! I also appeared in Wario Land 3! So of course you know me well! What? You never heard of me?

As far as I know, this is the only source which officially confirms that Mad Scienstein and Arewo Shitain-hakase are the same character (although it can be inferred anyway through their near-identical appearance).

A merge would allow all three varying appearances of the character (the first being in the 1992 game Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru, as confirmed here) to be linked together and presented in one "History" section. But I'm hesitant to go and merge the articles without a consensus. And perhaps there is another factor to consider that I didn't think of, or another source out there which states something different,

If there's a source that confirms that the two are one and the same, is a proposal necessary? Hello, I'm Time Turner. 19:55, 5 October 2016 (EDT)

As I stated in the proposal, I'd rather have confidence in the merge through a proper consensus. And it's a good chance to allow for any valid opposals, because I'm not very familiar with the character outside of Wario Land 4, and I am also not informed about what any Wario Land 3 sources say about the alternately named character.

I'll have this merged sometime tomorrow.

Name?

Shouldn't this article be called Mad Scienstein? Policy says to use the most commonly used English name. User:Magikrazy

Yes, that would be the best thing to do. I'll take care of that soon.

This is a bit of an odd case, though, since Mad Scienstein would specifically refer to his design and role from Wario Land 3 and Dr. Mario 64, whereas the "main" (albeit non-English) name refers to the character's appearance overall in the original game and Wario Land 4. Could this be like renaming the Princess Peach article as Nurse Toadstool, or King Koopa/K. Rool as one of the one-shot disguises? LinkTheLefty (talk) 12:33, 25 October 2016 (EDT)
