Snifits[1] (originally known as Snufits),[2] known as Sniffits in Super Mario 64 DS,[3] are enemies that appear in Super Mario 64. Different sources list them as either an unusual design of the enemies of the same name or ghost-like cousins of them. They resemble their original versions, as they wear masks with bullet-shooting mouth nozzles, but are noticeably different in that they lack legs and float in the air instead of walking. Super Mario 64 / Super Mario 64 DS[edit]
In Super Mario 64, Snufits appear in the Hazy Maze and Cavern of the Metal Cap. They have a round Boo-like appearance and wear white masks. When Mario approaches a Snufit, it shoots a burst of small bullets out of its mouth, although this action is preceded by briefly swelling up like a balloon before firing. Snufits can be defeated by any basic attack.

Mario Party 2[edit]
In Mario Party 2, on the board Space Land, this variation of Snifit appears as the members of the Snifit Patrol. In Mario Party Superstars, they are replaced with ordinary Snifits.
