Too bad they were sold to Microsoft...
Rareware is a development team recently bought by Microsoft. While under Nintendo, they worked with Donkey Kong, and created Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day.
This company didn't make any Mario games, however they did make Donkey Kong games.
