Like many Mario or Wario characters, Shokora's name comes a food product: "Shokora" is a Japanese approximation of the French word "chocolat".

Trivia

  • The theme of Princess Shokora's item shop is used as Mona's theme melody in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!. The music can also be heard in WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania in a less modified form when the Gelateria is seen from the inside during Mona's story.
  • Even though the "Young Cheeky Princess" form isn't the perfect ending it is still the one that resembles the original artwork of Princess Shokora the most. The perfect ending's form seems to be an adult version of her.
