Pianta Village is the ancestral home of the Piantas on Isle Delfino in Super Mario Sunshine. It is run by the Pianta mayor and appears to be built on a giant tree. Players can get a small glimpse of Noki Bay if the player climbs to the top of the large palm tree in the center of the village, or the top of the tree that Il Piantissimo's finish line is on. As such, Pianta Village is the only location where Noki Bay can be seen from the outside.

Pianta Village is built in the branches of a giant tree to protect it from predators. If you look below, you can find equally titanic mushrooms in the Village Underside.
In order for Mario to travel to Pianta Village, he will need to have the Rocket Nozzle, which is obtainable in Delfino Plaza after at least thirty Shine Sprites have been collected. The red Warp Pipe on top of the Shine Gate leads to Pianta Village. However, it can be reached by using Triple Jumps, Spin Jumps, or Somersaults with a Wall Jump and the Hover Nozzle from the Shine Gate as early as the beginning of the game, although Episode 5 will be impossible to complete in the intended way until Yoshi is unlocked, and the short cutscene involving entering the pipe may not play. Pianta, Super Mario Sunshine

It is notably the only area without a boss battle in the game.
