The Paon Corporation Ltd. was founded in January 20, 1999. It's headquarters currently is in the city of Tokyo, Japan.

Following Rare's departure from Nintendo, rights to work and build upon the Donkey Kong series were given to them. Thus far, they have presented fans with games like DK Jungle Climber, DK Barrel Blast, and DK King of Swing.

Currently, the company is releasing games for the Wii Virtual Console.
