Ostros were ostriches that Shy Guys could ride in Super Mario Bros. 2. In the credits of the game, Ostro's and Birdo's names were switched. This, like many other mistakes, was fixed in remakes of the game.

Although an obscure character who probably wouldn't even have been noticed if not for the credits mistake, there are some fans who want Ostros to make a comeback.
