The whole point of the game is to beat the other player, as in all other Duel minigames. The way to win is to Ground Pound by pressing AA on certain spaces that have Os under them. Get three of these and the player wins. But if the space the player Ground Pounds on is an X, lightning bolts would come down on the player and he/she would be slightly shocked for a few seconds. Some spaces don't have a letter under it at all, this would not affect the gameplay.

O-Zone is a Duel mini-game in Mario Party 6.

Gameplay

To win this minigame, the player must Ground Pound by pressing A twice on certain spaces that have O's under them. Get three of these and the player wins. But if the space the player Ground Pounds on is an X, lightning bolts will come down on the player and he/she will be stunned for a few seconds. Some spaces don't have a letter under it at all: nothing happens if these spaces are pounded.

Introduction

If the player wants to get Os really fast, then it is vital for him/her to watch the introduction. It shows all the spaces uncovered, then covers them and spins them around on the platform they're on. The player doesn't have to watch each one spin around because they go in a 360 turn; the player could just stomp on the ones that he/she saw were Os.

Trivia

  • In the Real World, there was an area named the Ozone Layer.
  • On the game's website, the minigame is named "Tic Tac Whoa!"
