Mystic Forest is the fifth main world that Mario chases Donkey Kong through in Mario vs. Donkey Kong. This world's theme is a forest one, and the world contains a number of gimmicks, as well as the wide variety of enemies that appear throughout the levels. This world introduces Direction Switches, Cannons, Bob-ombs and their usage in breaking blocks. Monchees, Bats, Spear Shy Guys, and Tane Pakkun also make an appearance in this world, and its plus counterpart is Mystic Forest Plus.

In the Nintendo Switch remake, it is now the seventh main world, being set after the new sixth world Slippery Summit. Its theme color is now peach instead of cyan, which is instead used for Slippery Summit, while Bob-ombs are now introduced in the newly-introduced Merry Mini-Land.
