The Mini-Mario toys have been so successful, that Mario's Toy Company has expanded to sell Mini-Peach, Mini-Toad and Mini-Donkey Kong toys as well. On the opening day of Super Mini-Mario World Theme Park, Mario, and his guest of honor, Pauline cut the ribbon and officially open the park. Donkey Kong has also shown up, and offers a Mini-DK to Pauline, at the same time as Mario offers her a Mini-Mario toy. She chooses the Mini-Mario. DK is heart-broken, and he smashes the nearby display of Mini-Mario toys, takes Pauline and takes her to the roof. The task is to control the Mini-Mario toys using the touch screen to the top level and rescue Pauline!

A level Editor feature is also present in this game. Using Nintendo Wi-Fi Conection download levels from friends is possible, as is uploading original levels. Friend codes are required.

Mario plays absolutely no role in this game, and is only seen in the beginning of each level, and before each boss fight and in the final boss fight and following cut-scene. As an added bonus, there are two unlockable bonus boss fights after beating the main game. The first one is unlocked by getting 40 silver stars in any level. The second one is unlocked by getting 40 gold stars in any level.

The soundtest is also automatically unlocked when the game is beaten.

The final boss, and the bonus bosses are all quite similar layout to the original Donkey Kong, with the exception that you control the Mini-Marios.
