Mario Party 5

Mario Party 5 is the fifth installment in the Mario Party series. The most notable change in this game is that the shopping system was replaced with the new Orb system.

In Story Mode, a playable character has to face Bowser and the Koopa Kids throughout every stage. Eventually, the character will face Bowser one-on-one.

On the Mario Party 5 website, the website innacurately drove many fans into the belief that the game would be about Mario characters running for president, when in fact, it was just a feature of the website.

Trivia

• This is the first game to feature a character that first appeared in the Paper Mario series. The characters are Eldstar, Mamar, Skolar, Muskular, Misstar, Klevar, and Kalmar. In Paper Mario, the goal is to rescue them.
• Mario Party 5 was often considered the worst Mario Party game in the series of Mario Party games by many fans that disliked it.
• This is the first Mario Party game that offered Boo, Koopa Kid, and Toad as playable characters.
