Chaos are small genderless creatures that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. "Neutral" Chaos come in several different colors, and also have "Dark" and "Hero" variants. Cream the Rabbit has a pet Chao named Cheese.
Chaos appear in the Mario & Sonic as spectators for several events. They also appear in scrubbers for curling in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. They come in six different colors, blue, yellow, green, pink, white ("Hero"), and black ("Dark"). A mechanical Chao called Omochao exists, offering advice and trivia, and acting as an umpire for tennis.
