I apologise if this is in the wrong section, however I couldn't find the right article to discuss it. On the niwa section on the sidebar to the left of the wiki there is a link to the Metroid Wiki, however on the Main Hub for the niwi site the Metroid Wiki isn't mentioned there does it still belong here? Thanks, --[[User:Chickasaurus|Chickasaurus]] 17:07, 19 February 2010 (EST) =)

If you guys didn't know -- Nintendo had announced that it will host a Summit to show off their new games or possibly new trailers this Wedesnday and Thursday (Feburary 24, and 25) with one from CA, and one from Europe. So if you catch any Mario related info, including possibly new info of SMG2 (so people can collaborate the differences between last year and this year for the beta pg). http://wii.kombo.com/article.php?artid=15684 Additionally, if there are new games, please add them in the Mario & Nintendo News, or add this info as well. :o {{User:RAP/sig}} 15:41, 23 February 2010 (EST)

I was just trying to edit [[Talk:Birdo]], when [http://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Talk:Birdo&action=edit&section=34 this] came up. It seems to only happen when I try to edit the last section on the page. Then I clicked on the <nowiki>[edit]</nowiki> icon in the section above. I was taken to the section below it instead. Is this just some weird glitch or something? I don't even see any scrollboxes or anything on the page. {{User:Fawfulfury65/sig}}

I've noticed that, especially with characters, images are used as often as possible, regardless of their relevancy. I think that there should be something done to edit this down. Images should only be used if they are addressing something in the article's contents. To use Bowser as an example, we see a section on his common sense accompanied by Bowser in front of gold, with a caption reading that he is typically lacking in common sense. What does Bowser having money and roaring have to do with his common sense? Personally, I would think that someone who is that rich would be much more likely to have common sense in abundance. Also, I've found that several images are used multiple times in the article. I understand that the Mario Wiki does not follow the same rules that Wikipedia must follow, but restraint never hurt anyone. - [[User:NARCE|NARCE]] 17:17, 13 April 2010 (EDT)

I, too, have a problem with my signature. I randomly went to edit it, and I was unable to because it was included in 'Shroom articles with cascading protection. I would like to request that cascading be turned off for the following pages to avoid future problems: [[MarioWiki:The 'Shroom/Single/Issue XIII]], [[MarioWiki:The 'Shroom/Single/XI]], [[MarioWiki:The 'Shroom/Single/Issue XIV]], and [[MarioWiki:The 'Shroom/Single/Issue XV]]. Thank you. {{User:Bloc Partier/sig}} 22:42, 23 April 2010 (EDT)

<s>lulz ok wut?</s> In seriousness, the reason we have all this DK info is because we consider the Donkey Kong series (as well as the Yoshi series and Wario series) as extensions of the Marioverse. Therefore, we're justified in that sense. Also, we're part of an alliance called [http://niwanetwork.org NIWA], which is an alliance of independent wikis. Before you consider becoming an affiliate with us, you may want to convince the administrator of DK Wiki to become independent from Wikia. --{{User:Marcelagus/sig}}

I kind of made a mistake when sending out the warnings for each team... Please be sure to have your sections all in '''before''' the 13th (not ''by'' the 13th). It comes out on that day, so I just needed to make it clear that the staff would prefer receiving everybody's sections before then. Thank you, and once again, I apologize for this mess-up. {{User:Super Mario Bros./sig}} 00:09, 6 June 2010 (EDT)

Not sure if this is the right place to put this. Resizing images to a size bigger than their original size does not appear to work anymore; see most of the Game Boy ''[[Donkey Kong (Game Boy)|Donkey Kong]]''-related articles for examples, namely the section in [[Poison Mushroom]], where this results in an image caption being severely cut off. Oddly enough, this only seems to be the case for images with captions. I'm assuming this has to do with the update; can it be fixed in any way?--[[User:Vellidragon|vellidragon]] 20:00, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

I'm a big fan of the Toad Brigade, but their articles have been widely ignored. There are a lot of details missing, and the pictures are terrible. Their only good picture is on [[Banktoad]]'s article, and can someone please find some good pictures for the rest of them? The red toad's pic is the worst, and I appreciate that his headlamp obscures the camera in [[Super Mario Galaxy]], but I think it's alright in [[Super Mario Galaxy 2]]. I'd like to do it myself, but I always do something wrong when I try to upload pimages; it never works for me. Thanks. {{User:Supershroom/sig}}
:This should go on the Toad Brigade article. Ask it there. And what do you mean you do something wrong? You can improve if you state your problem :) {{User:BabyLuigiOnFire/sig}}
I did, I only posted my request here as well because I thought it would get more notice. Anyway, it looks someone's replied there. Mabye someone will change it soon. If not, I might have a go. And my problem with uploading images is that every time I try, my computer brings up an error message. {{User:Supershroom/sig}}
==Huh?==
I ve seen new users create articles when they just joined? What's up with this, cause they're usually spam. {{User:BluePikminKong497/sig}} 20:01, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Agreed, I think we should not allow new users to create articles until they're about 20 days old. {{User:Supershroom/sig}}
:If this is the case users cannot even create their own userpage. --{{User:Porplemontage/sig}} 14:57, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
::I don't see why that is a bad thing. So many newcomers join, create a userpage and leave, or they keep editing their userpage ''way'' more than the wiki. This could be a way to screen out these folks, while on the flip side, dedicated users get to build their userspace as thanks for all their hard work. In the meantime, the new users can always write little blurbs about themselves on their talk pages: I've seen a few people do this (personally, I would have been fine with that if I joined during a time with similar restrictions). - {{User:Walkazo/sig}} 21:48, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
:::Don't we already do restrict article creation for new users? Or has that been revoked again? - {{User:Edofenrir/sig}} 22:22, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey guys, after seeing today's featured article, I've noticed that the Mario wiki contains lots of Donkey Kong related pages. I understand that Donkey Kong was the first ever Mario game, but honestly, games like the Donkey Kong Country series shouldn't be on this wiki.
