The Liar Ball was a special ball that Waluigi could pitch and hit in the game Mario Superstar Baseball. The move allowed Waluigi to throw both a regular baseball and an eggplant, confusing the batter as to which to hit. When batting, Waluigi would hit both an eggplant and a baseball, confusing the fielders as to which ball to catch. It is a copy of Wario's Phony Ball move.
Waluigi's bio in Mario Baseball says that, "The eggplant that the Liar Ball delivers is said to have the power to make those who touch it lose their lunches."
Waluigi must obtain a Whiskered Eggplant in Challenge Mode of Mario Superstar Baseball before he could use this move, which also hints at his love for the veggie.
