Lava Piranha

A Lava Piranha and two Lava Buds

An enormous overgrown Piranha Plant who lives within the confines of Mount Lavalava in Paper Mario and guards Misstar, the fifth Star Spirit.

Lava Piranha speaks in hacks and shouts, and always seems to be smiling, even when defeated.

Interestingly, according to Goombario, the Lava Piranha isn't a unique being, but a variety of Piranha Plant found in the Mushroom World. This means there may be more than one Lava Piranha! Goombario's refers to Lava Piranha in the plural from, meaning there are multiple Lava Piranhas.

Lava Piranha's sister, Naval Piranha, is more timid but much smarter and likes watery places. She is younger and is usually getting in fights with her brother while the lava buds remain mute. Naval piranha's first home was a geyser but she moved to a fortress after she heard that her made his base in a volcano(Mt. Lavalava). She has not been known to launch jets of water from her mouth since she has yet to perform or master the task.

Lava Piranha

• HP: 80 (has 40 HP per round)
• Attack Power: 5/7 (Round 1: normal) (Round 2: on fire)
• Defense: 0
• Location: Mt. Lavalava
• Tattle: Lava Piranhas are plants that can somehow survive in lava.
• Regular Tattle: They blow out huge balls of fire to attack. That is one big flower! Wow!*Tattle when on fire: Since their bodies are on fire, you'll take damage if you stomp on 'em. Don't worry of you're fire proof. They'll try to burn you with their fire breath. They're creatures born of fire, so water attacks will work extremely well against them.

Lava Buds

• HP: 16 (have 8 HP per round)
• Attack Power: 4 (regular only)
• Defense: 0
• Tattle: Lava Buds are little flower branching out from the main stem of the Lava Piranha. They love it in the lava. Hey, if you were a fiery plant you'd love it in there, too.
• Regular Tattle: They blow small seeds or other projectiles to attack, the small Lava Buds attack power is 4.
• Tattle when on fire: They blow out Petit Piranhas. The Lava Bud's stems themselves won't attack you.

Petit Piranhas

• HP: 1
• Attack: 6
• Defense: 0
• Tattle: Petit Piranhas spew from Lava Buds. These things can do some serious damage, so watch it!
