Template:Species-infobox Ice Bats[1] are a cyan, icy variant of bat that appear in Super Mario Galaxy. They only appear in the galaxy, Freezeflame Galaxy. They are a species of Swoops and they act similarly to them, though if they hit Mario or Luigi, they freeze him. Mario or Luigi gets frozen on contact when they collide with these enemies. When they also come into their territory, they charge at them to damage them. Ice Bats cannot defeated in any way, only freezing Mario on contact. When they freeze Mario or Luigi, they taunt or laugh at them when they get frostbitten. However, they can be stunned with a Spin attack. They can be defeated only with a Fire Flower.
