Ice Blocks are frozen versions of regular Blocks in Super Mario Bros. 3. They're the only blocks that can be used as weapons, by either the player or enemies. If a Buster Beetle gets its hands on one, it will throw it at high speeds towards Mario or Luigi. If on of the plumbers picks one up, he can only hold it for a short time before it disappears. In Super Mario World, they can also be picked up and they again dissapear after a short time.
