A Gunion is an octopus-like enemy in Super Mario Land, found in the Muda Kingdom. If stomped or shot, it will split into two creatures. It takes two shots from the Marine Pop to defeat a Gunion. Killing a Gunion nets Mario an extra 400 points. There are rumors that they might be a sub-species of Blooper, if not a Blooper itself.
