Gloomy.
Gloombas: Grumpy, blue Goombas. A Gloomba is essentially a "Dark" Goomba. They live deep underground, in areas such as Toad Town Tunnels or the Pit of 100 Trials. They are always unhappy, and are much more powerful than their above-ground cousins. A Gloomba gets its blue color from living without sunlight, but it is unknown if they naturally obtain their red shoes.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

- Locations: Pit of 100 Trials (Levels 1-19)
- Tattle: That's a Gloomba. It likes dark, damp places. It's stronger than a normal Goomba, so be careful. That's not a healthy color for a Goomba, but it doesn't mean it's sick or anything. So don't show any mercy!
- Tattle Number: 7
- Tattle Log: A Goomba that likes dark, damp places. It must look like that because it lives below ground!
