Fruit are the favorite food of the Yoshis. Many fruit grow wildly on Mushroom World that depend on cultivated land in the real world. Fruit made their first appearance in Super Mario World, in the form of large Berries growing on bushes. Green Berries also appeared.
Fruit also appear in Yoshi's Story, where if a Yoshi eats enough fruit they will advance to the next level. Fruit can often be found floating around in Bubbles.
