Flowers are items that appear in the game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars that automatically increases Mario's maximum FP (Flower Points) by one. Flower Points are needed to perform special attacks. These flowers resemble early artwork of Fire Flowers from Super Mario Bros. and might be directly based upon them, considering many of Mario's special attacks involve fireballs. Flowers automatically increase Mario's FP by one whenever picked up. Variations of this item, such as the Flower Tab, Flower Jar, and Flower Box, also exist, giving the player differing amounts of FP depending on the item.
