Extreme Snowboarding is a Dream Event in the Nintendo DS version of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. The Player must snowboard 2 laps round a track. Its obstacles are a Chain Chomp and some Egg Pawns. When jumping off ramps, the control pad is used to perform tricks to fill up a bar on the bottom right of the top screen. Tricks cannot be performed unless B is pressed at the edge of the jump. Pressing Y uses the character's special dash and depletes the bar. A ghost can be used to steal some of the special dash time from other players in front.
