Blooper
Bloopers (also known as Bloobers) are squid-like enemies that are also one of the few enemies that are found in the water. There are many kinds of Bloopers, though the standard Blooper in Super Mario Bros. swims toward Mario in a lazy homing pattern.
The Blooper is also used as a weapon in Mario Kart DS, where after launching it all the players who are currently in a higher rank then you get a large ink blot on their screen, which obstructs the driving view of human opponents and causes CPU characters to swerve around on the track. If used while in first place, you ink yourself.
In Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door they're bosses. There's three different kinds (see list below) in Paper Mario but only one in Paper Mario 2.

In Paper Mario, Blooper is an optional boss. You can fight him to get the Dizzy Stomp. He is found in Toad Town Tunnels after Mario goes straight right in the way of a bridge. On another note, each Blooper yells "Bloop!!" after each encounter.

- Tattle Log: A giant, squidlike thing that attacks with its ink and tentacles. Based on its dialect, it may come from the western sea.
- Tattle: That's a Blooper... and a really super-humongous one, too! EWWWW! It's all slimy!!! I just can't STAND slimy, nasty, icky things. G-R-O-S-S, gross! It attacks with tentacles and ink. Once you damage both it's tentacles it'll fall down... And then it's attack time! By the Way, the tentacles each have 3 HP. Now relax and house on that slimy, nasty Blooper.
In Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door it actually speaks in full, sentences. "Who goes around and smacks each others tootsies like that?". It is encountered as the first mandatory boss in the game. It is also the only Blooper in the game. It is weaker than the Blooper in Paper Mario. Unlike all other Bloopers it does not attack without a reason. Mario hits one of its tentacles because it is blocking the way to Petalburg Meadows.
