It is smaller than average Chain-Chomps

Chomp Chomps are golden Chain Chomps found in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It is located in a Pipe on Bean Valley. They are very powerful, in fact about as powerful as the first Smithy Gang boss, Mack.

A huge Chomp Chomp appears in Pianta Village of Super Mario Sunshine. After a Lava Chomp was cooled in the Pianta Sauna, it would turn into a Chomp Chomp.
