Teaming up

You seem like a very dedicated and active player. Its true I need help with my pictures.Formatting a little but mostly getting pictures. If you could get me the pics I need we could add more than ten new monsters to the Wiki archives. We could also do other projets.Any suggestions?Respond on my talk page.--Lord Crump 10:53, 4 November 2006 (E

Response

I have some pictures already that ill need downsized and enlarged.Other than that I need to wait until I hear from the sysops about the nameless monsters in the game.I need to send you the pics.P.S.What others things are you interested in writing together?--Lord Crump 11:22, 4 November 2006 (EST)

Image Formatting

Tips on Image formatting:

For screenshots and box/cover art, please use , not just the filename, or it looks messy. Thanks. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 16:15, 19 September 2006 (EDT)

One-Sentence Articles

You've been breaking ground by creating articles for less popular games and including box/cover art, which is fantastic. However, one to two sentences max is the average length of each of these articles, and that is not acceptable. If you're not an expert at the game, at least sum up the story and gameplay in a few sentences to get the article started, then hand it off to other contributors. Otherwise, don't bother creating short articles, even with pictures, until you have good content to support them with. Thanks. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 22:49, 19 September 2006 (EDT)

This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (replacing other contributors' content) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Now your articles are of bad grammar & you are replacing all the other good content of other contributors if the article's already been created. Try to improve your grammar, but cease & desist replacing content or else. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 17:49, 20 September 2006 (EDT)

Also, do not dump text from Wikipedia to this wiki. We are striving to create original articles based on the talents of our users. Please refrain from such behavior to avoid being blocked. -- Son of Suns

Thanks

I'm glad you're apologetic for your actions. Your plans sound good, and be sure to keep your grammar good. :) Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 22:27, 21 September 2006 (EDT)

Great Work

Nice work on adding all that merchandise! Just remember to categorize the pages with and other categories such as Toys or Food, as I've done with the Donkey Kong Banana Chaser. Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 17:40, 25 September 2006 (EDT)

Merchandise

Just thought I'd say, good work on getting these articles up, with good pictures to support them. You could do better SMWikifying them (bold title, image on top, an extra sentence or two), but, it's still an impressive feat that no one else here at the wiki has been up for the task for. Cheers to you, and keep improving. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 21:20, 27 September 2006 (EDT)

Images

Another note on all those images you've been uploading -- some of them are quite large and would look better as a thumbnail. To make a thumbnail, instead of putting type That makes the image smaller, so the page doesn't seem overwhelming.

Not all images need to be made into thumbnails, however. Use your best judgement. Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 20:13, 4 October 2006 (EDT)

Good point. The code for thumbing in this case would be though, I think the default may be right. Wayoshi ( T·C·@ ) 20:32, 4 October 2006 (EDT)
You're welcome! As for the problem, I've had that happen to me, too. I'm not entirely sure, so you might want to ask Wayoshi about that. Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 20:52, 4 October 2006 (EDT)

Upload License

For Image:Annsmb.gif you selected you just got it from somewhere. Well that's fine and dandy, the image itself is a video game screenshot, so that's what you should have checked. Just so you know for next time. --Steve (talk) 19:59, 7 October 2006 (EDT)

Yoshi's Island

Eh? Player's Choice? I thought that was only for GC games. Either way, I don't have an SNES. Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 16:27, 13 October 2006 (EDT)

Yoshi's Story Enemies

I got the images on the old Yoshi's Story website. The site is gone now, but I found it on Archive.org. They still had SOME of the artwork (though a lot was missing, such as Piranha Pests, Gabon, Bumpty, Centipedes, Ravens, etc.). I have much more handy, but it either isn't needed (i.e. Jellyfish), is already placed by somebody else (i.e. Air Bag), or the article doesn't exist (i.e. Warp Vase).--Dreyfus2006 16:58, 13 October 2006 (EDT)

To find it, go to here. Oh, and please sign after posting a messege. ^_^--Dreyfus2006 17:06, 13 October 2006 (EDT)

Image Summaries

What you put in the text box when you upload the first time is not an edit summary, but what appears under the Summary section on the image page. Keep that in mind, OK? Template:Color-link-pipedayoshi TC@ Wayoshisig.png 22:22, 15 October 2006 (EDT)

"You"

The word "you" is frowned upon in this Wiki. Always replace it with Mario, the player, whatever's appropriate. But avoid using "you". Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 20:59, 17 October 2006 (EDT)

Deleting Artciles

Only sysops can delete pages. If everyone could, we would have chaos and anarchy all over the place. If you need a page to be deleted, place the to be deleted template on page. -- Son of Suns

Kunissue 16 + 29

I see those images just fine. Template:Color-link-pipedayoshi TC@ Wayoshisig.png 16:23, 20 October 2006 (EDT)

Silly Captions

Please stop putting silly captions on images. We were not supposed to place silly captions on images any more, but you have broken this rule in your recent Wario articles. You will be warned and/or blocked if you continue to place silly captions on images. Please make an effort to reverse the silly captions you made with something more informative. -- Son of Suns

New Game?

You have a new game today? Which one? Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 11:02, 28 October 2006 (EDT)

Sun Pic

There is a requested pic for the Sun article. Check the Talk: Sun page and tell me if you can produce such an image. -- Son of Suns

Bros. Attacks

I'm just wondering. Judging from the articles you made, did you ever unlock Advanced techniques? Or perform a Bros. Atack on a Mode other than 1? Take this for example. Mario only spins in a blur on Mode 1. Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 21:36, 31 October 2006 (EST)

It's cool. Just checking. =)
What about Modes 2 ad 3?Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 21:45, 31 October 2006 (EST)

Merchandise Resolution

 • 1. First of all I'd like you create a temporary page for all the merchandise pics you've already recently uploaded. Be sure to put them in the correct section. (Plushies, Toys, and Figurines, etc.)
 • 2. Stop uploading pics for a while and create galleries. Captions aren't really necessary because the picture is pretty self explanatory. Try to remove the gallery pic captions to even it out.
 • 3. Tell me when you're done making all the galleries so I can delete the individual pic articles.

I'll try to help in anyway I can. Remember that Merchandise articles aren't the main focus of MarioWiki. – SpikeFile:Spike sheild badge.PNG

Okay, instead deleting them, I'll create redirects.Knife (talk)

Yes, even users can create redirects. Replace or paste #REDIRECT Figurines on every Figurine page you find. Don't worry about that now, work on the other Merchandise Galleries, I'll do them. Thank you for the cooperation.

On a side note, I see you've played/own Yoshi's Cookie, Mario Pinball Land, and Yoshi Topsy-Turvy. Can you please expand information about those games about bosses, characters, etc.? That would be a big help because many users don't have those games. Thank you for the cooperation.Knife (talk)

Exclamation points

I know you probably don't mean it, but try and avoid using excessive exclamation points in your writing. In your recent edit to Giant Land, every other sentence was shouted at me. One or two is fine, but I counted about twenty. Just keep that in mind. Phoenix Rider 19:01, 7 November 2006 (EST)

Frog Mario

This message is regarding the article Frog Mario. Where did you get the message you put in the article from?? I reverted your edit because I'm quite sure that it's just a message you created by altering the message for Tanooki Mario with the word "raccoon" changed to "frog". Koopa lover 12:42, 11 November 2006 (EST)

Response to your reply

Do you have a good enough memory for you to know sure this is correct?? I can't find any web site that agrees with you. (I did a Google search on "Thank you kind frog" and it got only 4 results, none of which appear to have to do with Super Mario Bros. 3.) Koopa lover 12:53, 11 November 2006 (EST)

I am very surprised you can't trust another member with what they have to say. What you're doing is only seeing it your way and knocking out any other possibilities because you don't believe the message could be that simple. If you don't believe it, get the game and find the message! Because 3dejong has played the game, I find his information more accurate, unless you actually have the game and played it more recently.
Sorry to put this on your talk page, 3dejong. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 12:58, 11 November 2006 (EST)
