A Bony Beetle is the skeleton version of a Buzzy Beetle in Super Mario World. They walk around, stop, then stick out spikes. They also are immune to fire balls ,so time your Jump well. They are also later seen in Paper Mario, but more like a grey Spiny with yellow spikes, making people confused if its a dead Buzzy Beetle, Dead Spiny, or just a different type of enemy.

They're defeated basically the same way as Dry Bones, but harder, so whack them with the Hammer often when fighting them.
