The B Dasher is Mario's main kart of choice in the game Mario Kart DS. It is a long, skinny, white kart with stripes along each side. It appeared on the boxart of Mario Kart DS. The car is likely based on an old fashioned Formula-1 car. It has average speed, acceleration, weight, handling, and drift and high items.

In Mario Kart Wii, there is a kart known as the "B Dasher Mk. 2" in Europe, Australia and Japan, making it the Mario Kart DS kart's successor. However, it's called Sprinter in the American edition of Mario Kart Wii.

Trivia

  • Its name is most likely a reference to the controls of the side-scrolling NES games - the player presses and holds the B button to dash.
  • In Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, Mario's original kart resembles a stylized form of the B Dasher.
  • The B Dasher's tailpipe design seems to be the inspiration for the tailpipe designs of the Standard Karts S/M/L from Mario Kart Wii.
  • B Dasher is resembling the real Honda RA272.
