A Bridge Too Short

Template:Minigame-infobox A Bridge Too Short is a single-player Donkey Kong minigame featured in the game Mario Party 7. The name of the game is a pun on the 1977 movie A Bridge Too Far.

Introduction

The minigame contains no real introduction; the introduction is that the player walks up close to the sign; then another box appears on the screen; and then the minigame starts.

Gameplay

In this minigame, the player races with Donkey Kong to reach the finish line.

The player has to pick one of the two bridges to cross by the player encounters. There are four pairs of bridges that lead up into the finish line as each pair of bridges has a correct bridge and a hidden broken bridge. If the player crosses a bridge and the bridge's path suddenly broke, the player loses some time to get to the other bridge. If the player picks the right bridge; the player moves on to the second pair of bridges; and so on until the player reaches the finish line. If the player reaches the finish line, the player wins. If Donkey Kong reaches the finish line, the player loses.

One tip to avoid falling behind is to always follow Donkey Kong's path; for instance, when crossing the first two sets of bridges, if the left bridge breaks for Donkey Kong, the left bridge will also break for the player.
