Slime (Dragon Quest)

Slime is a species, as well as a character, from the Dragon Quest series of games which is published by Square Enix. Slime made a crossover appearance with Mario and company in Itadaki Street DS. The Slime is the mascot for the Dragon Quest series, as well as a fairly common, weak enemy in the games, much like the Goombas.
In Itadaki Street DS, Slime appears as a playable character. The "Slime Mask", "Slime Suit" and "Slime Maracas" are collectible items that can be equipped on customizable characters. The Heal Slime, a subspecies to the Slimes also appearing in the Dragon Quest series, also appear in the game.
Slime reappear in Mario Sports Mix for the Wii as a playable character. It is classified as a Tricky type character, and is the only character not originating from the Mario or Final Fantasy series (not counting the customizable Mii). In Slime's special shot, it summons three other slimes, each one with a different color: pink, yellow and green. The Slime is unlocked by winning 28 games.
