Throwback Galaxy

Template:Newsubject Template:Galaxy2box Throwback Galaxy is a galaxy that features a redesigned Whomp's Fortress from Super Mario 64, is confirmed to make an appearance in Super Mario Galaxy 2. The music is also an orchestrated arrangement of the original Super Mario 64 Main Theme, as the original version was also played on Whomp's Fortress. New enemies were added, such as the Paragoombas, Skeeters and Wigglers. Other enemies seen first in the original game also return like Piranha Plants, Thwomps and Whomps. Some Bob-omb Buddies also appears in the galaxy. Whomp King is also at the top of the area, like in the original Super Mario 64 course. It is thought that this is part of the "Throwback Galaxy".

A Bonus Planet floats off to the north-east of Whomp's Fortress (where North is the direction of the large slope at the beginning, going upwards).
