Grandfather Toad is Toad's grandfather only appearing in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show in Escape From Koopatraz. He is purple caped and was capture by King Koopa and locked in Koopatraz many, many years ago.

Mario, Luigi, Toad and Princess Toadstool helped him get out of Koopatraz. He is not to be confused with Toadsworth, an old Toad like him, that Lakitu calls Peach's grandfather in Mario Superstar Baseball (but then he said sorry for mistaking Toadsworth for Peach's grandfather).
