Super Mario Bros. Wonder introduces Elephant Mario. It was first revealed during the first trailer for Super Mario Bros. Wonder in a Nintendo Direct[1] that was livestreamed in June 2023. Near the end of the trailer, Mario punches a ? Block containing the unnamed elephant-like fruit, and transforms into Elephant Mario upon touching it. Elephant Mario is able to defeat some enemies with ease, as this was seen in the trailer when he defeated a resting Goomba by simply walking into it.
