Arrow Lift (Super Mario 64)
The Arrow Wheel is an item found in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island; they first appeared in the level Salvo the Slime's Castle. It's a tan-colored circle with an arrow on it. The Arrow Wheel spins and if a Yoshi jumps on it, the Arrow Wheel will move in the direction the arrow is pointing. Arrow Wheels are mainly found within the various Castles and Fortresses across Yoshi's Island. The Arrow Wheel will change directions if it hits a wall or spikes.
A rare blue variant exists, mostly in areas prominent with ghost species. Those kind of Arrow Wheels disappear a short time after being boarded, the only way to prevent it's disappearance is to eat and then spit it out.
Both kinds of Arrow Wheels reappear with less frequency in Yoshi's Island DS.
