Black Sugar Gang
The Black Sugar Pirates (formerly known as the Brown Sugar Pirates, also called the Black Sugar Gang in the manuel of Wario Land II) is a group of pirates in appearing in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 and Wario Land II. They are led by Captain Syrup, and their base of operations are the SS Teacup and Syrup Castle on Kitchen Island.
Wario Land
The Black Sugar Pirates (then known as the Brown Sugar Pirates) were well-known for stealing many great treasures, including a giant golden statue of Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom. Hearing this, Wario travels to Kitchen Island, planning to steal their treasures. After traversing throughout the island, Wario succeeds in defeating Captain Syrup and stealing the pirates' treasure.
Wario Land II
Captain Syrup's pirates appeared for revenge in Wario Land II, this time called the Black Sugar Pirates. They attacked Wario's Castle, and re-stole back all the treasure that Wario had stolen from them. Enraged, Wario returns to Kitchen Island and defeats Captain Syrup once again, regaining the stolen treasure.
The Black Sugar Pirates never appeared again, except for the crewmember Ball Bunny, who appeared in Wario Land 3.
