The Blue Coin Block is an object found in Super Mario 64.
The Blue Coin Block is actually more of a button then just a Block. When Mario finds one of them, Mario can Ground Pound this object. When Mario Ground Pounds the object, the Blue Coin Block disappears as Blue Coins showed up in the level near to Mario. The time starts ticking as Mario has to get them with a time limit. When the time goes fast, Mario has little time on getting the Blue Coins. When the time is up, the Blue Coins disappear as the original music continues to play depending on the level.
These objects appeared in Wet-Dry World, Whomp's Fortress, Jolly Roger Bay, Cool, Cool Mountain, and Big Boo's Haunt.
