Welcome to the wiki. I hope you have come bringing constructive edits, and a good sense of humor. Remember, its video games, so keep your wits about you. I understand you've been here a while, but I noticed you received no welcome. HK

Red Links

Why do you keep on removing red links? Those are needed to inform people that those articles are not created yet and are needed. Not only that, red linked articles appear on the Most Wanted list, so users know what the Super Mario Wiki community wants to be done. -- Son of Suns

Red links are friends. With no red links, there would be no Mario's Picross page. HK

Sorry about the red links I'll stop getting rid of so many. -- Sir Grodus

Do you check the recent changes? HK

Yes I check recent changes. -- Sir Grodus

Do you like your sig leading to nothing? I mean having no link.HK

Quality Not Quantity

Not to say you don't add quality to the wiki, but maybe more effort should be spent on ghost articles. A good example of good work is Mr. Luggs. Compare it to your composition of Biff Atlas. See a difference? I don't mean to hurt you, or your feelings. I'm just pointing out something for future reference. Please, don't feel bad. I will be happy to help on these articles. HK

Yeah I guess I could add a bit more quality in the articles. --Sir Grodus

And I'll help. I used to only tag articles with {{image}} , which was my creation. it states that an image is needed and adds it to the image requested category. Now I'm a pretty hard worker. I kept at it and eventually added much quality. You'll hit that , too. I think.... HK

Thanks for bringing this up, HK. I edited Neville, Lydia, and Chauncey last night, and also Mr. Luggs was my creation. We can use all the help we can get, but for portrait ghosts, make them detailed. Wayoshi

So... No one's mad at me.... YES! Woohoo! HK

Donkey Kong Universe

I believe that, like the Yoshi and Wario spin-off series, Donkey Kong is a spin-off of Mario. Since this wiki should cover the entire Marioverse, I believe the Donkey Kong universe, including the games made by Rare, should be included. If not, then the Yoshi series and Wario series should not be included. All three have very little in common with the traditional Mario games so if one is not allowed, none should be allowed. That being said, I think that in this early stage of the Super Mario Wiki, we should be focusing more on the traditional Marioverse before branching off into the spin-off games. However, a few articles here and there from the spin-offs are good, but if they begin to overshadow the Mario articles, than this wiki is no longer the Super Mario Wiki-it will be a Yoshi wiki, or a DK wiki, or a Wario wiki. All are part of the Marioverse, and, in time, all should be covered. -- Son of Suns

Does that mean Banjo-Kazooie? DK>Diddy>Diddy Kong Racing is Banjo's first appearance>Banjo branches off. HK

Star Fox is also generaly counted as DK's universe.HK

Maybe some special voting page is required to figure out what exactly this wiki does and doesn't involve? HK

A spin-off of a spin-off is also related to the grandparent series. In this case, Banjo and Conker games are part of the family of Marioverse games and as such, they should have a home here as well (but not for a long time....we need to work on more traditional Marioverse articles before moving to these extended franchises). Also, I would say Star Fox is not part of the Marioverse or the DK universe. The only connection is a character named Tricky in both Diddy Kong Racing and Star Fox Adventures. However, these are clearly two different Trickys with two distinct personalities that live on two different worlds. Thus these two franchises are related, but not part if the same universe. However, Star Fox is a part of the Super Smash Bros. series. Since that is a cross-over series, it is a part of the Marioverse, but only from a Mario perspective. Articles about Super Smash Bros. have a place here, but only can be talked about from the point of view of Mario and what he can learn from fighting style and trophy descriptions. See the Princess Zelda article for a good example of this. I don't think a vote is neccessary. Like I said, if the traditional Marioverse is completed, then someone, if they wish can move on to extended franchises. If not, no one has to. -- Son of Suns

Okey Dokey. You sure have become long-winded.... er long.... HK

I like to explain my view points in detail. =) -- Son of Suns

Erm... I feel like this has gotten to the point where it no longer concerns Sir Grodus..... HK

Undead Or Not?

By the way I wondering if things like Gold Ghosts, Purple Punchers, etc. should be counted as undead since they were never truly alive and are paintings (same with Chauncey, he was born a ghost so he was never alive). -- Sir Grodus

That is a tricky question. But undead does not imply alive, just something is in between life and death-a spirit, a skeleton, a ghost. Still in the physical world, but not entirely physical. Although the ghosts are creations of art, they become spirits-in between life and death. In other words, the undead have not moved on to the next plane of existance. --Son of Suns

Its a lot less weird than it sounds. I'm going to shorten the message: The aren't alive. They aren't dead. Unalive would imply death, so we have the term undead. The painting ghosts aren't alive. Or dead. HK

Bold

One more thing, the first time the title of an article is used in said article, the name should be bold. Also, if something is known by multiple names, all the names should be bolded. Ex: King Bowser is the leader of the Koopas...etc. A Trapdoor, also known as a Fake Door, is a...etc. -- Son of Suns

Check your templates!

Please check if there is a template like the one you're going to make, or any other common article, beforehand. It just so happened that I already made a LM Room template at Template:Rooms. I'm sorry, but I had to put your template into the to be deleted category. Wayoshi 23:45, 23 July 2006 (EDT)

Sorry I didn't know there was already a template, I just assumed there wasn't one because I never saw it. -- Sir Grodus
