Raft Riot

Template:Minigame-infobox Raft Riot is a 4-player duel minigame found in Mario Party DS. Its name is a pun on the phrase "laugh riot". This minigame appears in Score Scuffle as the last minigame in the set.

Gameplay

The game revolves around the concept of watercraft racing. Contestants race along in an aquatic track with a sort of obstacles and speed boosters as boost ramps, while they drive motorized rafts. Players must drive on their rafts, and come to the finish line at first place to win. Also, players have to avoid such obstacles as buoys and also take some ramps to gain a boost of speed momentarily. When playing in Score Scuffle, the minigame ends once all players cross the finish. If five minutes pass without anyone reaching the finish line or if both players come to the finish line at the same time in the Duel variant, it's a tie.

Note: If both players get the same score in the Duel variant that breaks the current record, it counts as a New Record even though no one won as it will say Tie after the New Record fanfare. This also applies to the other Duel minigames with a record system, such as Hot Shots, Rail Riders, Hanger Management, Get the Lead Out, Twist and Route, Pedal Pushers, Raft Riot, Study Fall, Hedge Honcho, Domino Effect, Cherry-Go-Round and Roller Coasters.
