Lava Dome
Lava Dome is the fifth dome in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. The area is very dark, with volcanoes pictured in the background. The area bears a significant resemblance to worlds concerning Bowser found in various other Mario games. Lava is a common hazard in this level, often featured in the foreground, along with fire-based elements such as Podoboos and Fire Bars. Jetpack Guys and Crash Kongs can also be seen here. The music is a remix of the Bowser's Castle theme from the original Super Mario Bros.

Lava Fountain
In the vast lava hazards in this game, there is a platform that moves back and forth. Often, Lava Fountains occur underneath the platform shooting it upwards through the air, allowing Mini Marios to move to another platform. Sometimes Lava Fountains can shoot to multiple heights.
