- The Shadow Queen (pictured) is the only final boss where Princess Peach is possessed.
- The music from New Super Mario Bros. U which plays during the first part of The Final Battle is a slightly more evil-sounding remix of the Peach's Castle theme, which also just so happens to be the same music that plays in the world itself.
- Bowling of Game & Wario resembles the Bowling event in Wii Sports.
- Kangaroo Koopa's outfit looks like a cowboy's clothes.
