Kartastrophe is a 4-Player mini-game in Mario Party 8 as well as a single-player mini-game in the game's Test for the Best mode.

Introduction

The four players (or one person) will be lined up at the starting line, in cars. The lights will beep twice, and then turn green, which starts the race.

Gameplay

This is a racing game. The four players will go through the course twice, pressing Two Button to accelerate and One Button to decelerate. They will turn by tilting their Wii Remote. On sharp curves, when the player turns their Wii Remote all the way, for a second or two, the car will start to skid, making it easier to make the tight curves. The first player who crosses the finish line after two laps is declared the winner of the mini-game.

Ending

The winner will be driving on the course not doing a cheer.

Trivia

  • "Kartastrophe" is a portmanteau of "kart" and "catastrophe".
  • This minigame has the same controls as Mario Kart Wii.
