Template:Minigame-infobox Shortcut Circuit is a 4-player and a duel mini-game that is found during the events of Mario Party DS. In addition, the mini-game is a bonus mini-game for players to collect Coins.

Introduction

In the scene, the mini-game sets in a circuit board that had four rows of chips that make up a path. The chips are attached to the green board filled with lines all over and with other countless parts. The four players with their colors they obtained appeared walking forward on the paths and spot about four bridge pieces each with their own different color. The first two players go across the chip paths by using the bridge pieces; and then the next two players do the same thing as well. Shortly after that, the bridge pieces disappear and the players stand on the start spots. Shortly after that, the mini-game begins.

Gameplay

In the mini-game, the players attempt to gather Coins that appeared between the chip paths by using bridge pieces they obtained. Occasionally, the players will spot a Red Coin that is worth five Coins. The players can use the bridge pieces to gather Coins by using the stylus, when the player lets go of the stylus; the player places the bridge piece in a certain spot during gameplay.

When a bridge piece is used by a player that passes by, the bridge piece disappears because the player uses it to go across to another path. Crossing a bridge piece takes some time for the player as the other players go ahead from the other player.

There are two limitations when the players are using bridge pieces. The first limitation is that if player reaches a bridge piece that another player placed, the player can use it to cross onto another path instead of the other player. The second limitation is that when a player places the bridge piece in a certain place, and another player tries placing a bridge piece between one of the sides of the bridge piece, the player cannot place its bridge piece there. The reason is that both sides of the bridge piece prevent other bridge pieces to be placed from either side.
