It is possible that King Toadstool is half Toad, half human, with Grandma Toadstool as his mother and a human as his father. He is short and stumpy like a Toad, and his crown looks slightly like a mushroom cap, although he is pretty much human too. | |||

King Toadstool, the Mushroom King, is the king of the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach's father. He appeared in the Mario comics, but was mentioned in the Super Mario Bros. instruction manual. In the comics, he is a scatter-brained numbskull. King Toadstool most likely ruled the Mushroom Kingdom while Peach was a baby. However, it seems that the Princess herself became leader of the kingdom after she grew up.
