A Blurp is a green fish that slowly swims back and forth or in one direction in Super Mario World. They appear most often with Rip Van Fish or Cheep-Cheeps. Cape attacks, fireballs, and Yoshi can defeat them, although, since they only move horizontally, Mario can just swim around them. This fish should not be confused with the giant Cheep-Cheep called a Blurp in Yoshi's Story.

The Blurp reappears in Super Mario Land: 6 Golden Coins.
