Jungle Puddle is a river running through the Yoshi's Island Jungle. Blue and red Blurps are native to this river and will attack their prey in relentless pursuit. Red Blurps act very much like Boss Basses from Super Mario Brothers 3, as they will leap at a Yoshi and eat him or her, killing the Yoshi in one hit. The other type of Blurp, which is blue in color, will spit water at its prey in an attempt to knock it into the water, where it will then swallow the unfortunate Yoshi whole. They only appear in the second half of the level but still pose a huge threat.
Keep running on the platforms as high above the water as possible. Unless you're trying to get all 30 melons and/or secrets, run through the entire second half of the level. This level is considered to be one of the hardest in the game.
