Grim Leechers appeared in the "Mystery of the Castle" level of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. They resembled purple ghost with skulls on their faces. They would fly at Yoshi then ride his back, kicking Baby Mario off. This would reverse his controls and change him green to pink.
