One of the many areas containing a secret block.

Dry Dry Desert is a vast desert in Paper Mario that Mario, Goombario, Kooper, Bombette and Parakarry must go through to get to Dry Dry Ruins. There are a lot of side-quests, badges, and items if you look around the desert enough. The desert is a 7x7 grid of smaller areas, or 49 panels.

The green Ratooey named Lumpy on Rogueports docks in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door came here to strike it rich by finding oil. Mario can ask to read his journal entries anytime. Another cameo from PM2 is that in the journal Buzzar attacks Lumpy.

Dry Dry Desert was a playable stage in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. Many large ruins and giant Pokeys where included, making the track a little hard, not to mention the huge quiaksand pit.
